Sensations (sensation of sound, of color, of smell, of pain etc etc) are intrinsically subjective parts of nature. Science, by its very construction, can only address the objective parts of nature. Thus we have, I would claim, a part of nature beyond science..
[For a more detailed explanation of how sensations are subjective see some of my earlier Answers]

I was watching a video on you tube and it was basically a compilation of atom bomb footage and it had a Snow Patrol song in the background.
The piece of footage I mean is a bit of a large ocean liner ship and a bomb goes off under the water behind it and it seems like the whole ocean explodes into the sky.

The latest rage for Dems is the threat of global warming. Could it be that they needed an issue to rally behind because they lack real leadership and a true vision?
Let’s get real – ALL PLANETS IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM ARE HEATING UP! Our Ice Caps are melting, but the earth is in a cycle. It has been proven through science that we go through warm spells and cold spells (ICE AGE?). Why do we believe everything the media produces, then they’re just trying to make a headline to get your money! Don’t believe everything you hear!

is science in the service of economics an abomination....

or is the sterile emotionless mathematical way of looking at the world what makes them ideal conspirators in the desecration of the beauty of the earth?

will science become a benign word again... only when it adopts an ethical cautionary principle, for all the inventions it seeks to release into the world?

or will science always hide behind the skirts of busines & industry claiming..."it isnt us you should blame...its them - we only discovered and invented.....they are the ones who are applying our science and causing the damage".

how do land-laws and air-space regulations resolve themselves..if someone wanted to permanently moor themselves somewhere....much like a a caravan in the air?

We have all heard of the butterfly effect- "A butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil will cause a monsoon in Asia--Dr. Lorenz." The chaos theory states that little changes in the input of a system can result in big changes over time in the output. For example, weather is completely random and unpredictable past 48 hours. After 48 hours the accuracy of forecasts drops over 90%, which means that 5 or 7 or 10 day forecasts are USELESS! I tend to live my entire life on this theory believing more that what we do at that moment influences what happens in the next moment. I believe more in this then destiny, because I think we all have control over what happens next based on what we do now. I don't like the idea of something beign planned out and waiting for me--I make my own out come. What do you think?

Smaller coils are rated at 1500 watts.

Does cooking at a lower temperature setting use less electricity?

Or should I look into buying a pressure cooker or slow cooker.

Which is it?; if it's the dependent? My dependent variable is whether an election passed in various cities. How can I make this meaningful? Would I have to do 2 different regressions; one for cases of election failure and one for election passage? Thanks for your input!:)

Hey, earlier today, my girlfriend asked me if I wanted to go to the mall with her. Me, being lazy, said no. Now I regret saying no to her. So does anyone know where I can buy a time machine, or if anyone knows how I can go back in time so I can go to the mall with her?

PLEASE HELP!

We had to chainsaw down like 4 big cedar trees that were on the hill in his backyard. Well i was up there for like 7 hours. Now im on the computer and everything is all tiltmode. I feel like im spinning forward and tilting to the left. What causes that.

Can anyone out there point me towards independent (and preferably peer-reviewed) research on whether recycling paper produced in North America is good or bad for the environment? I have read positions both for and against paper recycling but they always seem to come from biased sources (i.e. environmental activists or industry activists). I would really like to find some actual scientific research on the topic so I can make the most environmentally wise decision.
