Ang, Bakar and Chandran are friends and they have just graduated from a local university. Ang works in a company with a starting pay of RM2000 per month. Bakar is a sales executive whose income depends solely on the commission he receives. He earns a commission of RM1000for the first month and this omission increases by RM100 for each subsequent month. On the other hand, Chandran decides to go into a business. He open a café and makes a profit of RM100 in the first month. For the first year, his profit in each subsequent month is 50% more than that of the previous month.
In the second year, Ang receives a 10% increment in his monthly pay. On the other hand, the commission received by Bakar is reduced by RM50 for each subsequent month. In addition, the profit made by Chandran is reduced by 105 for each subsequent month.
1 (a) How much does each of them receive at the end of the first year? (b)What is the percentage change in their total income for the second year compared to the first year?

I mean, sometimes we can work around it, but other times the use of subscripts, superscripts and special symbols is actually necessary.

Interpreting questions can be a little confusing, and sometimes they can be misinterpreted. But more importantly, it is necessary that the asker gets a CLEAR answer, otherwise the whole asking - answering process is futile if not even harmful.

Well I hope this doesn't go unread

I like bottled water...and sometimes agter drinking maybe half or so, I bottle it up, and after a couple of hours or a few days, the bittle actually colapses inward. Always wondered what makes it do that. It happens in cold or even hot temperatures. Thanks

I used to study the process of cephalization in different species from various phylas. There was also a unit I covered over the anatomy of the brain and its various roles in coordinating the endocrine and nervous systems. The only difference between humans and the rest of the animals is our rather superior intelligence.

What constitutes this intelligence? There are animals with obviously larger brains than ours but they lack the cognitive faculty. How was it possible for humans to develop intelligence so quickly?

What is the physiological explanation as to how a brain can exhibit 'intelligence' (if its even possible to define it)?

(An explanation on the molecular and systematic level would be appreciated)

Think of it in terms of transformer. They transfer voltage through a magnetic field. Is there any research being done on how to control this directionally? Or should I have contacted a patent office instead of Yahoo answers.

IF a study was conducted to see if graphite and carbon fiber had the same tensil strength which would be the stronger of the two. They both use the same resin and are both preimpregnated with the resin and cooked on a tool at 70 psi of nitrogen pressure in an autoclave for two hours at 350 degrees. Which is stronger? Plus they both have the same weave pattern, which is a plain weave.

Someone i know likes to drink hot coffee in the hot summer days (temperatues like 40 deg celcuis).....He tells me he does it to keep his body temperature up to equal surroundings because it makes him feel more relaxed and good....I personally think it is a conditioned response due to his drinking coffee so much that he enjoys the feeling and response (like a comfort blanket) but he insists it is scientific....I figure everyone would perfer a cold drink to bring there temperature down because it makes them feel good
