The factor to which you are referring is when they start school. If they are 4 when starting school in September, then they are younger than their classmates. This may make them less ready to learn and can have given them less experiences on which to draw for decisions. Some parents hold back children until the next fall, especially boys. The effects could be overcome by taking the child to many experiences. It often is overcome also by having older brothers and sisters who help the younger along. It is not a factor of when they were born or conceived.
