How Bio-luminescence differs from Chemiluminescence. Bio-luminescence is what fireflies use; a combination of luciferin and luciferace with ADP as a power source (all of which can be purchased in kits online). Chemiluminescence is where chemical reactions produce light by using a catalyst and sodium as a power source (again, available in kits online). Although you'll end up putting two "kits" side by side, the "science" of the exhibit will be the demonstration of how nature and chemistry can produce 'cold light' by different methods, but through similar mechanisms.

Someone in my class did how the color purple affects animals. They got 2 hamsters, and studied their behavior in a regular environment for about a week to two weeks. Then they painted the sides of the cage a purple color and observed their behavior for the same time allotted. One of their hamsters went crazy and jumped out of their cage and ran away!
I did one on the amount of bacteria on my family's hands during different times of the day. It was gross...
I did another one on the amount of stress and anxiety one feels when they are watching a scary movie.
There's a lot out there!
