Hmmm. Good point but i dont think so.

The human race is different fro ma virus. A virus needs a biological host (no computer viruses) in order to survive. It will spread amongst memebrs of the same species until it evolves, spreading to anotehr species until the creatures develope an immunity. Then will it only stop.

Humans on the other hand, spread but we do not need biological hosts to survive. We have learnt how to create our own food whereas a virus cant. We spread and destroy everything in order to better our survival but eventually we will destroy ourslelves.

A virus is stopped by others, whereas we stop ourselves.

I'm trying to make some sense here...

I think agent smith used the phrase metaphorically rather than scientifically.

No. Smith made a distinction between animals, who live in harmony with their environment, and humans who use up every resource then spread to another area. But in reality, humans don't act any differently from any other animal - all creatures attempt to use all the resources and spread if necessary. The only difference is that humans are more skilled at finding and using resources.

Yes it's spot on, we could be described as a virus spreading to every corner of the planet eating up it's resources it's a harsh assessment but true :) xxx

I would say that it is an accurate analogy. Think of cancer in the human body. The cells reproduce rapidly and spread all over the body. From the cancer's point of view, they are very successful, but from the human's, they are very destructive.

Also, did you know that there are more non-human things on and in our body than there are human cells? When you think about it like that we really are all walking planets.

Very accurate - all life can be considered as a virus.

yes and no - yes because as he said viruses spread and devour what is there and destroying the surrounding (which is wat most humans do) and no becasue although we destroy things we also grow, protect and help other things so we are both virus and mamal but unfortunately he was very close and if we carry on like it he will be exactly right
