I can see and drive, I just need contacts or glasses to do so. Has anyone who was legally blind ever had lasik? Did it work? How much did it cost? I live in Nevada. Does it hurt? I've heard that it doesn't, but does it? And lastly, does anyone know the odds or chances of this type of surgery to make me permenantly blind? Thanks.

I have been dealing with mild on-and-off depression for as long as i can remember. i usually get short (1-2 hour) bouts of depression once to twice a month, which is not bad, and decently easy to deal with. But recently, it hasnt gone away. i've been feeling depressed near alll day for about a month now. I'm pretty sure it just has something to do with the stressload on me right now. I believe it will eventually go away, but i'd like to have something that would alleviate me from the depression until it goes away, and something i could use whenever i have my random bouts with depression that i normally have had in the past. i dont want to be on a 24/7 drug if i dont need it and basically the gist of the question is this.

Is there an anti-depressant on the market that i would be able to use only as i needed it? as opposed to Zoloft or something where you have to take it every day.

I have noticed a distinct yllow tinge in my complection lately. Might this indicate hepatitis or alcohol consumption (everclear 95% with absinthe).

I forgot what color it was, but it was in shape of a circle, are those strong ones? What would be stronger, that or a 750mg vicodin pill? Im just curious, because in the hospital I was given the circle shaped percocet and I wanted to know what would be stronger, that or a 750mg vicodin pill.

My wife is bi-polar and has CP. the primary indicator of her CP is her myo-clonus. The medication she takes for her bi-polar increases her jerkiness to the point she has a hard time typing and drinking from a cup. Her walking is becoming more spasctic. She is almost falling. Her psychiatrist has given her depakote for this. Other meds are lithium, klonopin, effexor xr, and luvox. Over the weekend the Dr also decreased her lithium from 300 in the am and 450 HS to 150 am and 300 HS. What can I do about her myoclonus problem? She seen a neurologist but was referred back to her psychiatrist. Her psychiatrist is not really listening and there is only 4 other psychiatrists on my side of the island---live on the big island of Hawaii.

I've heard that urine is a suitable disinfectant when nothing else is available due to its natural sterile nature. Can anyone support or deny this?

Last week, for the first time, I suffered spasmic pains to my right temple for 3 days (almost 3 times per day). Once it was my left side. This morning, I had an "ache" to my left eye when looking to the right which has lasted most of the day and, consequently, caused a headache to my forehead. I have taken paracetamol which has dulled the pain, not alleviated it. I have booked an appointment with my optician for next week (short sighted but not severely - for TV and driving). I am just a little concerned as I have never experienced eye pain nor headaches (unless alcohol related!). Anyone experienced this? At best I am thinking a muscle strain, at worst - well, who knows???

I am thinking about getting a tummy tuck. I checked prices online and it said 4000 to 7000 dollars is about right. I got a consultation from a plastic surgeon in my area in Florida and she quoted me 7400 dollars. I am thinking that maybe that quote is a bit much. Anyone know if that would be a fair price? Thanks

Imagine if scientists figure out a way to make our bones a lot more stronger that usual so that if we were to fall from about 50 feet it would be almost impossible for them to break.

in the hospital because the nurses are caring for him or her enough? If so, do you feel as I do, as a nurse, that it is because nurses are stretched too thin, have too many patients to care for and because of this can't give the attention to their patients as they should? This is VERY disturbing to us nurses. Complain to the hospital administrators if this concerns you. We as nurses have no say in the nurse to patient ratio which is getting dangerously out of whack. YOu can only stretch a nurse so thin before mistakes and even fatal errors are made. And this is not the nurses' fault. It is the hospital administrators trying to increase profits and cut costs and add to their own over inflated salaries.

My father is in the early stages of this disease, where it is affecting his balance and driving skills. He takes B12 sublingual and his concentration skills are better, but his Dr. has told him to stop taking the B12. He did, but noticed the confusion was worse and resumed taking them. Does anyone know of where I can look to help him understand why his doctor doesn't want him to take it . Or info I can get to take to doctor to support his use of it. He feels B12 keeps him functioning.

Hi.

Prozac has seemed to kind of limit my appetite. I feel fuller quicker. I like this, and I am weight conscious, and I had gained weight using Zoloft.

I want to drop weight.
I do know what SSRIs are and how they workl and all, so I don`t need an explanaition. I also know about Topomax and SNRI's and so on.

All I want to know is experiences with this. As I said, my appetite is limited, its been 4 weeks, and my dose is officially 60mgs.

Any opinions?

We were friends for a long time and it turned out that she is attracted to women and I ended up sleeping with her. Now I understand that she was more a man than a woman. It happened only once. I had not even kissed anybody before that. That was 15 years ago. I was 24 Since than I kissed a few guys but never had sex.
I've never been attracted to women. I like guys. I just can not meet the right one. But when I masturbate- I'm sorry but I have to speak up- I often think about her. I know this is totally sick, but how do I get rid of this obsession? Also, why can not I meet anyone? I'm a pretty woman. Please, talk to me. Thank you

I have been a heavy alcoholic drinker for around 4 years & rarely missed a night drinking, my recent alcohol intake as reached a peak of 70-120 units per week. I decided 3 days ago to abstain & go cold turkey, it is now 70 hours since i last had a drink & all i have experienced so far is fatigue but just started to feel nauseas. Am i out of the danger zone of risk of DT's? (delerium tremens) ? Thanks
