I took a trial sleeping pill and did some reaction tests in about 1990 at the Institute of Psychiatry in South London. I know I didn't get the placebo because I slept afterwards for about 16 hours. They gave me 45 quid for it. I saw the advert asking for volunteers in the psychology department message board at my university. The mad profs who organise these things usually trawl for their victims among the desperate student population...

Many universities conduct research and provide small compensation for their subjects. Studies range from answering surveys, doing psychology/behavioural tests, to, being subjects for MRI scans (without harm to subjects).
I suggest you can consult your local research hospital or universities to participate in these type of studies.

check out different universities and hospitals. some will pay their human subjects. They usually don't pay much and you will have to match all of their criteria.

I know you can test new drugs out and things but actual physical experiments then i dunno...your best bet is it ask your doc
