An HCG or human chorionic gonadotropin test is actually to test for any pregnancy. To see if you could be pregnant, the menopause screen among the above list could predict if you could be pregnant. That involves testing for follicle stimulating hormone or FSH,which is one of the most important hormones involved in the natural menstrual cycle as well as in pharmacological (drug-induced) stimulation of the ovaries. It is the main hormone involved in producing mature eggs. When its level get higher, its an indication that menopause comes closer. If the baseline FSH is elevated, the ovarian reserve (how many eggs are left) is reduced and sometimes also the egg quality is reduced. By knowing such, a prediction could be made if there still could be pregnancy. The rest of the tests are for general health.

The blood from a pregnant mom is barely the mum's DNA. the only paternity try which could come from a pregnant lady is the amniotic fluid interior the uterus surrounding the fetus. If a cleansing soap used a pregnant lady's blood as a tale source, they made an blunders. You have been clever adequate to show that out

The test that checks for pregnancy is the hcg test. hCG is the pregnacy hormone your body produces when you are pregnant. the test is to check the viablity of the pregnancy. you will have blood drawn twice in a 48 hour period to check to see if the levels double (which is a good thing)

the other test that you mentioned are normal test to check your over all health at the start of pregnancy. if there is anything off, your OB will be able to talk to you about what you can do to make sure you and baby are healthy!

Not an expert but I think the hormone you test for is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). Can be tested in the blood or urine. Cheers
