What happened this time? I have never had this happen.

This happens to me occasionally with my insulin injections.

You hit a capillary, a minor blood vessel, which basically caused a very minor hemmorage under the skin, which is what a bruise really is.

No major damage done, and if you do your own b12 injections, it will happen from time to time. Don't get too upset about it. Your doctor could do the inject and have the same thing happen - nobody knows exactly where those pesky capillaries are!
