My reason for asking is because I learnt of something called auto-tritration as users will smoke for the desired effect. Filters are designed to remove the tar but in doing also filter out the nicotine. So I suppose the question is, do filtered ciggerettes remove more tar than nicotine and by what percentage? If the ratio is excatly the same then filters would have no benefit to users who wished to decrease tar intake according to auto-tritration.

At 38, I have severe disk degerative desease throughout spine, where two disks at bottom of spine pretty close to vertebrae fusion as well as cervical herniated disk with degeneration, and also other multiple herniated disk. I have severe peripheral neuropathy, and saw a neurosurgeion, and he said he didn't think I was a candidate that was good for surgery. I am dying in pain, and my career as a writer and reporter has halted. I live alone and have difficulty sitting up very long with pain. I am desperate for someone to tell me more than my doctor has: pain management and a nursing home. Help!

I have a friend who has heart palpitations or it might be ventricular fibrillation. She's had this problem, whatever it is, since she was born.

She's having surgery today and I just wanted to know, how dangerous is the surgery for this.

if it helps at all, she is 16 and pretty small, like 5'1".

my mum had a cervical spinal cord surgery on 7th, she has a wound on her near front neck, it's been almost 2 weeks but she still HAVEN'T removed the dressing, i wasn't there when my dad charged her out of hospital, i asked him did the nurse tell him how to take care of the dressing, he recalled nothing about it, and he said we shouldn't touch it anyway, because he thinks it should be removed by doctor/nurse on the follow up day (which was last friday, but the doctor had an emergency and didn't show up and the date has been postponed to tomorrow) so... is there any dressing should be removed by professional or all kind of dressing should be changing everyday, are we making a horrible mistake?
