actually i wanted to know this before but now i really need it...any idea?

there's very few readily available medications that will kill you right on the spot. if you're willing to wait, just guzzle a bottle of aspirin- like a bottle of 50 pills 325 mg. that'll put you in renal failure, and you'll die because your kidneys won't excrete all the toxins. the death isn't actually too painful- you'll lapse into a coma and die slowly. it's definitely long and protracted, but again, it's not exceedingly uncomfortable.

All drugs have a Lethal Dose indication that can be found online. Go to whatever drug you want to use for your book, and find its lethal dose.
A twist to it is that if you drink grapefruit juice and drug, AND if the drug is metabolized by the cytochrome p450; then the lethal dose decreases (less drug will kill you). This is because cytochrome p450 usually converts your drugs into an inactive form. If the p450 is blocked by grapefruit juice, then you will have more of the active drug and you will have overdose).
