does holding your breat increase your Heart rate? or not?

Yes, it will increase your heart rate. Your lungs and heart work together to deliver oxygen to the rest of your body. The longer you hold your breath, the more oxygen is depleted from your lungs, so if you start to have less oxygen in your blood as a result, your heart will pump faster to compensate. It tries to deliver a constant amount of oxygen, so if you have less oxygen per unit of blood, then more units of blood per time need to reach the destination. However, if you manage to hold your breath for too long (maybe with the aid of some duct tape) then your heart will start to get irritable at it's own lack of oxygen and will start having arrythmias (very fast, completely ineffective heart beat). Eventually, it will stop. So it speeds up initially, and then when it can't compensate anymore, it stops.
