Now everyone here is celebrating since the the National Hurricane Center is saying "oh were so safe." I have tracked storms for a while and have seen such error in forecasts. Should we really be safe? What if it turns into the gulf then heads here? What if that low they been talking about isn't as weak as expected?

If a planet, or something putting of light was suddenly flung from its pont of origin and was moving faster than the speed of light, and for instance your were at the point of origin, and you were looking at the planet hurlling away from you, would the light still reach your eyes because it was at 1 time where you are? I know thats kinda confusing but thats the reason Im asking it.

A watch at sea level and at the top of Mt Everest will move at slightly different speeds. So, when you take our perception of time here on earth and compare it with the perception of time on some distant star or planet, what is a year to us may be several decades or centuries out there. So, a distant star could give every indication of being of being millions of 'earth years' old..... Interesting.
