Hey there!

Here are the answers.

72+18=90 --> 90-18=72 or 90-72=18.
12*9=108 --> 108/9=12 or 108/12=9.
100-34=66 --> 66+34=100.
56/8=7 --> 7*8=56.

Those were the answers.

Hope it helps!

The inverse operation is the one that undoes what the original operation does. So like if the operation is adding 10, then the inverse is taking 10 away. Similarly if the operation is doubling, then the inverse is halving.

So the inverse of + is -, the inverse of - is +, the inverse of * is / and the inverse of / is *.

72 + 18 = 90 can be rewritten as 72 = 90 - 18. If you add 18 to 72 to get 90, the inverse of that is to take away 18 from 90 to get back 72.

I'll also do the last one for you. 56 / 8 = 7 can be rewritten as 56 = 7 * 8. If you divide 56 by 8 to get 7, then you can multiply that answer by 8 to get the original number.

There are a few different ways of interpreting this, but this is what is probably wanted:

90 - 18 = 72 or 90 - 72 = 18. This shows that subtraction is the inverse operation of addition.

108 / 9 = 12 or 108 / 12 = 9. This shows that division is the inverse operation of multiplication.

Give the other ones a shot on your own.

I assume this is what is meant:

72 = 90 - 18

12 = 108 / 9

100 = 66 + 34

56 = 7 * 8
