Anyway, usually for separated shoulder "Anatomic Repair" is done or any repair using tendon allograft without sacrificing the coracoacromial ligament.

The surgery called "The Weaver Dunn procedure" is done to transfer the acromical end of coracoacromial ligament in the distal end of the clavicle.
