Okay so the problem is: A 8.746 gram mixture of calcium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide is exposed to an atmosphere of pure CO2. The mass of solid increases to a final value of 14.472 grams. Calculate the percentages of the individual solids in the original mixture, given that the following reactions occur.

Ca(OH)2 (s) + CO2 (g) ==> CaCO3 (s) + H2O (g)
KOH (s) + CO2 (g) ==> KHCO3 (s)

Thanks so much. I dont really need you to show me every detail of how to do it, but just the start of a basic idea of what I'm supposed to do would do fine. thanks again!

I used StarryNight's apple widget the other day and it was an excellent little program to help find things - is there any simple starfinder type program availible anywhere on the internet that can show you what stars are up in the sky at a specific time like this widget for us Vista users?

Kalpana Chawla (indian-american astronaut ) was killed 4 years ago. And I look up to her for who she was. I know she's in a good place. I have made a video in her memory for school. Do you think she's proud of me for making the video? She's alive in my heart. I had a dream that she told me to walk in her shoes. Does she want me to be an astronaut? or work for NASA?

A brewery uses compressed air for its production processes. It employs a compressor driven by an AC motor to produce the required volume and pressure during production days (Monday to Friday). The power consumed by the compressor is just alright during peak load or high plant air demand. Now, during lean days (Saturday and Sunday) only about 20% of the total compressor capacity could be utilized by the plant with the same and only one high power compressor motor. The management wants to cut down operational expenses.
