y=-2x^2 +8 -6 i got x=-0,5 and x=1,5

Iwanna see if got a good answer need to make a quick check

As with checking solutions for any equation, you can just plug it in and see if everything holds. If the x value you plugged in is not a solution, then you'll wind up with something that isn't true after you simplify, like "1 = 4".

I assumed you meant y = -2x^2 + 8x - 6.
Just plug in you answers and you will see that the do not check: The answers should be x= 1 and 3.
