my son is 22 months old. im not sure if i wnt to try and potty training him now or in a couple months or so. i dnt wana rush him. but i do have a question? my son is not on a bottle and when he wakes up in the morng his diaper isnt to wet. but some nights he will come into my rom crying and soaking wet from peeing the ed. when i take his diaper off its not that wet so his diaper didnt actualy leak. has anyone had that happened with a son? im guessing he is juz pulling his diaper down to were he kinda comes out the diaper and juz wets the bed. thats all i can think of. hes not fond at all of his diaper, when he doesnt have shorts on he pulls it off. he understands the concept off peeing and pooping and tells me when he has went, sometimes b4 he goes or as he is going. my husband and i have tried to sat him on the toilett a few time but its to big an scares him. we havent gotten the small one yet. does anyone have any suggestions how to introduce potty training that i can try? thank u

When my younger son was three years old he managed to get away from me in our local supermarket but was quickly found by a member of staff who said he was laid almost under an aisle freezer playing with a pussycat and that she would make sure he was ok. Thinking that this did not seem right i investigated immediately to find that my little boy was stroking a dead rat! What happened next should have been filmed - i pulled my son out, who not wishing to be parted with the rat brought it with him, however he lost hold and it shot into the air, minus its tail towards a group of staff who thought i was abusing my son as he was screaming. The resulting staff dispersal and screams followed by a major customer exit from the store had to be seen to be believed. The manager was incoherrant! A week later, following a major clean up operation, we returned to the store to find that my infant daughter of 8 weeks old had won a large cuddly toy in a competition for which she had not been entered!

or no accidents. The thing is she has a hard time holding it. She can get from one room to the bathroom...but that's as far as she gets. If i'm out...at the mall or something, she wont hold it so i can get to a rest room. She's been "home" potty trained for a about 3 weeks. How long will it take for her to hold it a little longer. Any tips on helping her with that?

Well my 3 year old, Arianna, is taking frequent trips to the refrigerator to get grapes. Once she got out of bed at about 2:00 a.m. when she was 2.5 and fell down the stairs breaking her right wrist. And the only thing she said to me was did she ever get the grapes.....

Poor Thing was out cold on the way to the hospital. But she still makes these trips to grapes frequently so I am sure she is addicted, but I want to know what you guys think?

And if she is can I help her....

-God Bless,
Taralyn

I know of many parents that have to feed their kids plain foods like chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, etc., because their kids refuse to eat anything else. How can you ensure that your toddler learns to eat a wide variety of foods and flavors? Or is it something you cannot control? Advice from experienced parents of 'good eaters' would be appreciated:)

Her house is messy. The toys are dirty. Sometimes the TV is on when I come in. Her male neighbor is always at her home. Just seeing him there makes me so anxious b/c he could be molester! I just have a bad feeling about this guy.
She never tells me what activities she did with my daughter.
Of course, I'm not bringing my daughter back. How do I know from the beginning if a provider is good?

my son just turned 2 and he says a few words, like ball, bike, more, mowing, no, yes, shoes, and a couple of others, but mostly when he is talking he is just using gibberish. my doctor says that even strangers should understand 50% of what he says, but even I dont understand what he is telling me sometimes when he talks. the doctor wants to check his hearing and send him to speech therapy, but i know he can hear and i wonder if he really needs this. is he really behind????

My daughter will be 5 in October. She still wears Pull-Ups and soaks them every night. I have tried stopping liquids three hours before bedtime, only offering a little water if she is thirsty, which she usually says she isn't.
Pull Ups and Training Pants don't really fit her anymore.
Are anyone else's kids still in Pull-Ups and almost 5 years old? I feel like the only parent sometimes who still buys them for their 4 year old. of course, all of my friends children stopped wearing them to bed at 2 and my friends just look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I still use Pull Ups....

We would love to take my daughter, who is 23 months, to the beach this summer. The problem is she's a preemie and has a fear of anything grainy. It's been four months since we've tried sand and she wants me to lift her over it to get to the swings at the park and won't even go down the slide in fear of landing in the sand. We've been evaluated by an occupational therapist and she recommended "brushing therapy." Does this really work? Do you have any ideas?

My son used to love the water. At age 12 mo he was swimming completely on his own under water. At the beginning of summer he got knocked in unexpectedly into the pool. I grabbed him out right away and he held his breath just fine, but it must have scared him b/c since then he seems terrified of the pool. He's 21 mo old now. When I say Jonny wanna go swimming he screams and says no no no mama. We go and he eases himself in and usually has a good time but he's much more timid than he used to be. he wont go under anymore and he wont do the baby slides anymore. is there anything I can do to help him overcome this? right now I am just kinda giving him his space and letting him do what he wants when he's ready/

He and his 2 yr old sister are here visiting and my husband and I have been doing a lot of things with them. But our G-son is afraid to do anything but his sister is up for any activity. We took them to “build a bear” and he wouldn’t do any of the activities, it’s frustrating and worrisome to us any ideas how to help him?

My son who just turned15 months, I think has an allergy to cow's milk.
I started giving him whole milk about two weeks ago, and about 5 days after taking it he has had diarreah ever since.
But he is still drinking, and doesn;t have a fever.
I was just wondering if anyone else is going through this.
I have heard some information on a cow's allergy, and it says sometimes the child may outgrow it.

I have a 3 year old son. He has been potty trained since he was 2. My daughter is 15 months old and I wanted to start potty training her. When I put her on the potty all she wants to do is flush the toilet and try to splash the water.. Gross. Does anyone have any tips for me. I was also told that girls are easier to potty train than boys. Well I find this to be wrong.

My daughter is only 12 months old and seems pretty vicious. When one of her brothers has something she wants she attacks them. She hits, bites and pinches. Most of the time she's sweet, but other times a beast. They always give her what she wants, so they don't have to deal with it. This isn't teaching her anything, except hitting gets her what she wants. I tell her "no", but she doesn't get it. She just keeps trying to get at them. She's still a baby so I don't know what to do with her. Any advice would be appreciated.
