Well my 3 year old, Arianna, is taking frequent trips to the refrigerator to get grapes. Once she got out of bed at about 2:00 a.m. when she was 2.5 and fell down the stairs breaking her right wrist. And the only thing she said to me was did she ever get the grapes.....

Poor Thing was out cold on the way to the hospital. But she still makes these trips to grapes frequently so I am sure she is addicted, but I want to know what you guys think?

And if she is can I help her....

-God Bless,
Taralyn

That's interesting and a little scary.. You might want to consider a safety gate on the top of the stairs or even a door ajar alarm to alert you if/when she gets up.. Also, it's dangerous at that age to eat grapes, so someone should be monitoring her eating them. It's easy for a little one to choke and not be heard... Other than that grapes aren't bad for her under supervision...

You should be more worried about choking than "grape addiction"! An unsupervised 2.5 year old eating grapes at 2am?? Scary....by the way, popcorn and hotdogs are also dangerous.

Grapes are good for her! Let her enjoy all that she wants, although 2:00 is an interesting hour to want to eat grapes but that is ok let ther enjoy.

I think she likes grapes. And seriously, they're fruit, not drugs. One doesn't get addicted to grapes, one just gets very very regular. Count yourself lucky! Some kids have constipation issues.

Too bad she couldn't get hooked on a cheaper fruit.

Perhaps you should get her sugar tested. This sounds like a thirst problem. Grapes are mostly water and when I am sick I like grapes too - keeps me hydrated!!
