Today was our first prenatal appointment, and I was right, I am only 6 weeks along and not 7...according to my LMP (I had 41 days cycles). So, the midwife did an internal as well as a transvaginal ultrasound. Normally, I bleed a little when I have my annual paps done....and I had some spotting as well today after my internal exam (had the Strep B test done too).

Question is, during my other pap exams I was not pregnant (minus my first pregnancy)...and this time I am...so should I be concerned with any of the spotting?

The u/s was fine...the midwife was pleased to see such a thick lining around the sac....so I'm assuming this spotting is no cause for alarm?

I havn't had soda since I found out I was pregnant.
Now my baby is two weeks old now so would it be selfish of me to have half a glass. I know what ever I eat and drink goes to my baby, but will it really hurt.

Ok so I had an ultrasound appt on wends and the dr yelled at me about me smoking...ok the day I found out that I am pregnant, I quit! so what was the big deal about that? She is an old lady dr!

So i've heard both, do twins come from the fathers side of the family or the mothers? And which are genetic, fraternal or identical twins? I know one runs in the family and the other one is just a chance thing, I just don't know which ones which.

My fiance has twins in his family, his mom is a twin (fraternal I think) and theres some twins on his dads side too.

im 19 weeks today and i was scheduled for a sonogram tomorrow so we could finally confirm if we are having a boy or girl and the doctors office just called and cancelled the appointment because the u/s tech wont be able to be there for who knows what reason. its bad enough that they only do sonograms on saturdays but they cant even change it to next weekend because of thanksgiving so now i have to wait 2 more weeks till we can find out! its so frustrating, i just want to know already! i was so excited about tomorrow and now i am so disappointed. 2 weeks just seems so far from now...anyone has to deal with something like this? dont those people know pregnant women are crazy with raging hormones and the littlest things can get to us? i want to cry... :(

i can't find the instructions on how much water, etc. etc.

i think it was 16 oz. in the 2 hours before my appointment, and i'm not supposed to go pee. is that right??

Seriously, how bad is it really? How do you get over the fear of actually having the child, labor and all of that? This fear is keeping me from wanting any. Does the epidural really take away some of the pain?

I think I have felt the baby moving i've had a couple flutters here and there, but I've never been pregnant before and i don't know really what to expect?? thanks for all the advice even the mean stuff but everyone does have their reasons for the way things are.. and I have been taking prenatal vits and trying to stay healthy.

So I just wanted to clear things up. I'm not sure of what's happening but yes, let me continue. I had my period last month October 29th, after that I started ovulating on the 4th of November. On the 4th I had sex and during the ending of ovulating which was the 9th I started spotting just a bit; it came along with cramps; and a sore lower back for this whole week now. On the 10th it was still there a little then it wasn't there the next day. My next period is the 21st of this month. Now, I'm not sure if this is implantation bleeding; maybe this happens earlier than others. So for now I'm not really sure, and I will be taking a pregnancy test later.

I am 6 months pregnant and was just wondering what to expect..whats normal, etc. Sorry have no sisters or mom to talk to about anything. My doctor isnt very informative either. And I am kind of embarrased to as stupid questions like...what is a contraction? sometimes i have slight cramping in my stomach, what is that?should i be having sex up until i have the baby? how often should i feel the baby move? thanks for any info!

I am almost to my 29th week and the further a long I get the more nervous I become. I have heard it is unbearable and then I have heard it isn't that bad. I'm not to nervous about the pain because I know it will be worth it, but it would be nice to know what to expect.

My sister in law and I both have children her's are 6 and 24 months. My daughter is 36 months!When I was pregnant she hesitated to let me borrow her maternity clothes{ which were 4 years old} Then when she became pregnant I let her borrow some of the newer styled maternity jeans{ very xpensive} that I had purchased or were bought for me. I am now 12 weeks pregnant with #2 and she did not return my newer clothes.How should I go about asking without being rude or upseting? She told her mom that she didn't know what I was talking about! I had sex with 2 guys 3 days apart(one the 23rd, next the 26th) and I ended up preg. i used a condom with one but it broke and it was unprotcted with the other but he used the withdrawl method so he didn't ejaculate inside me. I don't know the exxact date of my last menstral cycle only that it was in the beginning of Oct I belive around the 6th or 7th. I know that with the guys being only 3 days apart there really is no way of telling without a paternity test and I also know that neither guy is going to be thrilled about me having this baby. I am 26 and already have a 6 yr old.
Spare me all the details about unprotected sex and sleeping with 2 guys so close together blah blah blah. I know that I made a mistake and now I am dealing with it. I just want to see what you all out there think. I had a postitive preg test on Sun 11-11 and on Mon i went to the doc and had a blood test. When the results came back my HCG level was 1305 which puts me around 4-5 wks preg.

I am 7 days late, my af were suppose to arrive last week, I had all the cramping in the world as if af was going to arrive, I tested when I was 4 days late with a $1 test but it came up negative, I just wanted to no if there's anyone here who first test came out (-) turned out (+) when they tested a second time.

All i had was cramps for a whole week last week but this week am not sure if its because the change in the weather but my heads tends to hurt more often

I am currently 21 weeks pregnant, and have no wishes to find out the sex until it comes out... I am a big one for surprises haha.
But, I was wondering if any of you ladies didn't want to know the sex and if people were rude to you about it. I swear, when I tell some people that I don't want to know, they look at me like I am committing a crime!
Yesterday, when a lady asked me what I was having, and I told her I don't want to know she responded with, "What?! Are you crazy?!?! That's not healthy for the baby!!!"

Not healthy for the baby? I wonder how civilization survived because people couldn't find out the sex until not too long ago....

I know that it's probably just a side effect of being pregnant but I am so tired of people's flippant remarks towards me when I am sharing the joy of my pregnancy...example: I was talking to a woman the other day at work and mentioned I was 5 months pregnant and her response was "you're not really pregnant yet" HUH? I am 1/2 way through my pregnancy?! And then the girl I was talking to yesterday when I showed her my belly she says "you're wearing maternity pants already?" and I said yes none of my other pants fit me and she says "didn't you try to rubber band trick" Hello my belly is swelling?! What is wrong with these people? I am really pregnant and really showing!!

33 weeks pregnant. so i consulted with my doctor about my 3 hour test since my 1 hour came back "abnormal" she told me that it basically went well except the last hour that i got my blood drawn. she said it was below average which didn't make sense to her because i would of felt really crappy and dizzy. i then said well um yeah that's how i was feeling...i had to eat my bagel and sit in the parking lot for like 15 minutes until the dizziness wore off. she then said that it was fine. she thinks they screwed up. well if it was low doesn't that mean that something isn't right?? she also told me my daughters heartbeat was a little high but brushed it off like nothing. i read up on it and it's supposed to be getting lower but most likely higher due to stress. what's wrong with this doctor???

Ok. I'm 24 and married. I had sex on nov. 2. he *** inside me and almost nothing came out (open cervix due to ovulation?) a week later felt a quick sharp stab in uterus (implantation?) no pain since. im due to get my period within the next week. i last got it about the 17th- 20th of oct. i took two preg tests about a week ago and both were negative but then i looked on the box and saw they weren't the early detection tests. it was just a cheap one from the dollar store. so i started feeling nauseous and tired and i started getting excited that i thought i was pregnant. and then someone told me that there is a stomach flu going around. so i am disappointed that its the virus. do you think i still might be pregnant and its just too early to have symptoms? also, if i am pregnant will the stomach flu hurt the baby?

i'm 33 weeks pregnant with several different pains. i have a sharp pain that i get in my lower right abdomen/pelvic area. then i seem to always get this really sharp pain in my back on the left side near my upper rib cage. it feels like someone hit me with a metal bat...the only thing i can do to fall asleep is use a heating pad. did/does anyone have the same issues?? i asked my doctor what the back pain was and all she said was that it was probably pressure from the baby. i forgot to ask her about the pelvic pain though. anyone know what is going on?
