Are you still smoking? If she yelled at you it may be because you told her you quit, but she smells it on you. She is concerned for the health of your baby and she should be.
If you are no longer smoking "good for you "and you should have told her that you quit when you became pregnant.
Go to another doctor if you dislike her manners.

I am sorry to hear that your doctor yelled at you like this, especially since you are pregnant and your hormones make you more sensitive.

Congrats on the pregnancy, and congrats on quiting smoking, You have done an excellent job by quiting smoking! Dont let anyone ever make you feel about about what you have done in the past.

Also, the older the doctor, the more old-fashioned they are! You dont have to take her advice, especially when it is just an opinion.

Maybe yhe doctor is sensitive about smoking during pregnancy issues. Maybe a famil member of her's smokes, or has smoked during their pregnancy, or maybe something bad happened to her or a fmaily memeber because of smoking. Try not to take it personally, and maybe understand her point of view.

Keep your chin up! Dont worry what other pepole say, you did the right thing by quitting smoking! Congrats to you, and your baby!

If you quit, good job, it's hard to do. Don't let her lecture you about smoking. You are there for the health of your baby, and by quitting you are contributing to that healthiness.
Way to go! It's a hard thing to accomplish and you should be proud, not worried about what an old lady (or anyone for that matter) thinks.
Congratulations and good luck!

Grumpy old bag huh we since you stopped smoking when you found out she should have not yelled at you. Plus you are not a child 2 get yelled at. It would be a big deal if you where still smoking. Get a new doc

Who knows? Maybe she is really sensitive about the issue because she lost someone close to her because of lung cancer of some other smoking issue. Or maybe she's seen babies born with problems because of mothers smoking during their pregnancies.

Regardless, she shouldn't have yelled at you and been so judgmental, and unless she apologizes I would find another doctor that you can be more comfortable with.

when my mother was prego with my sister, her OB yelled at her for weight gain. My mother was like, "that's it."...then switched OB's.

If this was your first appointment, then i would find another doctor. Doctor's should never yell, or berate someone for behavior.

A doctor should support you...and help you stay strong.

I would visit, give them a piece of your mind, and switch doctor's.

You shouldn't have to tolerate that behavior. Doctors consult, not judge. Move on to a new doctor while you are still early on!
