I was 5 months with my 1st when I started looking pregnant and not fat. I'm 17 weeks with #2 and have noticed a bump for about 2 months but I don't think others can tell all the way that I'm pregnant.

Early pregnancy can cause some swelling and water retention, making woman think that they are showing too much and/or too soon...lol. I remeber during my first pregnancy, i swelled quite a bit, and was terrified to think i was be a huge fat pergnant lady so early in my pregnancy.

Typically, when start showing a little around 14-16 weeks. It really depends ony our body, however. If you are a slim woman, you will usaulyl show a bit early. If you have strong stomach muscles as well you may show earlier too. Also, if this is your second pregnancy, showing earlier is quite normal.

The first few months of pregnancy can be hard for others to determine if it is indeed a pregnant belly of you had too much to eat. Most others will notice that it is indeed a pregnant bump at around 20 weeks!

Congrats on the pregnancy!

Ha I was far from a "small" women when I got pregnant ( size 16 18 and very tall) so even my doctors thought I wouldn't show till id hit my 8th month or so...Boy did this boy ever prove us wrong.

When I went in for my 13 week ultrasound the tech didnt believe me I was only 13 weeks. I found out when I was 8 weeks and none of my pants fit with in 3 weeks of finding out....needless to say IM HUGE!

I was about 4 or 4 1/2 months when I looked pregnant and not just fat. You could wear a maternity shirt when you're going out so people can tell you're pregnant and not chubby if that would make you feel better.

Congratulations on your little angel!!

My 1st pregnancy I did not show until 6 months, then it seemed that one day I woke up and I had popped out significantly.

I am in my 2nd pregnancy now and just started to show in my 4th month.

Every womens body is different and each pregnancy is different. If this is your 1st and your abdominals are physically in shape you may not show until a little later. That was the case with my 1st pregnancy . The 2nd time around my abdominal section remained stretched out a little.

If you are worried that you are too small for where you are at in pregnancy, do not stress yourself. Your doctor will tell you in routine check-ups if there is any need for concern!

Good Luck!

About 5 1/2 months is when most people started asking if I was pregnant.. so I suppose thats when I started to show. I choose to tell only immediate family that I was pregnant because I didn't want my pregnany to drag out and last forever.. and I didn't want a whole bunch of people rubbing my tummy.. thats so obnoxious. Lol. =)

I didn't really start to show until I was 5 months pregnant. I didn't start wearing merternity clothes until I was 6 months pregnant. But don't worry, I have seen plenty of woman that are only 4 months pregnant and huge. It dosn't mean anything. Good Luck with your pregnancy!

At 8 weeks i had the fat bump that you can easily cover up...i had that up to 12 weeks....then everything changed. My doc says part of it is that i have an overload of progesterone, which made me look bigger for a while.

Then at 4 months. I was seriously showing, with one baby, not twins, first pregnancy. Everyone was like, "DANG....YOUR BIG"

lovin' it.
