Ok now this is crazy I took a hpt and got a positive but the day before yesterday I got my period( It's not implantation bleeding) So what's going on this is crazy!

My periods are usually very very regular (as in, down to the day 28 days). But in the past couple of months they've been bouncing all over the place.

At the end of April I had a period, but then I finished exams, moved home for the summer, and didn't have another until halfway through June, so it was a few weeks late.

They were regular in June, July, and August...

but now I haven't had one since the beginning of August! I moved back to school in August, so maybe my schedule / eating habits changed a little (but not much).

I do have a boyfriend and we are physical (I know you can get pregnant without actually *having* sex) but we are both painfully aware of the dangers of physicality and we're careful.

How likely is it that, as a virgin, I'm pregnant AND my pregnancy test was a "false negative"? what else could be causing this?

We had sex Saturday night and Sunday morning. I started my period the same Sunday night; right on time. If I had gotten pregnant would it have stopped my period if it was going to come that evening anyway? Its been a little over 2 weeks...I have been pregnant before...I sure feel like it...but I have used storebought tests in the past and they have been very in accurate. No I can't go to the doctor to find out...just nervous wondering if its even possible.

i've heard that tearing is better, as it heals more strongly due to the interlocking fibers realigning. (episiotomies can be matched up a little off due to the smooth cut & therefore don't heal as strong)
is that right?

I just moved to a new state and a new job (within the same company). I have been at this job about four months and do not have any outside friends in the area. I have about 7 or 8 co-workers here who I believe would probably come to a baby shower if I had one. Do you think it's ok to have a shower or does it seem like I'm just "using" them for the presents since I do not know them that well?

My friend who is about 10 weeks pregnant just found out she is a carrier for Cysitc Fibrosis. They are waiting for the results of testing her boyfiend, and will test the baby if the BF is also a carrier. My question is: She has had so far a very difficult pregnancy. Lots of pain, terrible vomiting and overall ill health. Could this be due to the fact that the baby may have CF? Some may think this is a silly question, but if there are any parents of special needs children reading this, what do you recall from pregnancy?

I am 37 weeks pregnant and this is my first so i have no idea what i am experiencing.
On friday i felt like i had a full bladder cause of the pressure and heaviness without the need to urinate.
Then i had dr check for bladder infection but none.
Today i got the same shooting pain and i figured if i had a bowel movement then it would help, but there was so much pain to bend over to wipe and i broke out into a cold sweat. Now my lower back feels sore and above my vagina. Very uncomfortable to bend over too.
I also lost more of my mucus plug after the severe pain, was this a contraction?

I was told this morning that an old wive's tale that is pretty true to form is one that before you are due to give birth your nose swells/. I came into work this AM and a cuple of the gals i work with commented that I must be gonna have the baby soon b/c my nose had swollen. No I haven't hit a door or anythign it apparently just did this all of it's own. They both swear it's true so i am just wondering how true is this?

I cut my finger while cutting raw red meat. I am 34 weeks pregnant. I tried to squeezed out as much blood as possible from the cut, then I washed it with untibacterial liquid and I put plaster on it. But I still worry that I could catch salmonella or listeria. How dangerous do you think it can be?

I am 16 years old and i am pregnant with my first child. I am excited to be having this baby even though I am young and things in my life are hard right now..
I am 4 months pregnant and I am trying to inform myself with what all i need to know.
With this being my first child and all, I was wondering, what does labor actually feel like and what should i expect? You always hear so many different things and i would like to hear it from someone who has actually been through it already.
Id really appriciate it if all you mothers out there would get back to me on this....

If a pregnancy test says that for a positive result you must have a vertical line and for a negative result you must have a clear window...what then does a horizontal line mean?
I have used this test before but never had a postivie result...what came back was a faint pink horizontal line (instead of a clear window or vertical line).

Could it be a defective test or a positive result?

i never went to the childbirth classes and i'm now a couple days overdue...i'm starting to get a little nervous now and i feel like i should've gotten over to a class...did anyone else not go and are there any tips you can give me to help?

i have just found out i am 4 to 5 weeks pregnant, i am over the moon with this news as i have wanted a baby for so long, my boyfriend however is not very happy about it and has suggested that i have a termination, i am strongly against abortions (unless in an severe situation) and would love to keep this baby. i have told him that i would like to keep he/she but he has said he has made his descision, i feel like i am stuck in the middle with my boyfriend one side and a baby on the other and i dont know what to do. does anyone have any suggestions?

my boyfriend is 38 i am 27, we know each other 5 months as a whole and i moved in his appt 1 month ago and now i got that i am 9 weeks pregnant, when i told him he was fricked out and could not accept that, now things are much better, by talking we came to the point that i am going to keep the baby, i was ready to have it even if he would drop me, but still he is so afraid and always tells me about that, i am tired to support him and telling all will be well, with his negative attitude he put me in a position when i do not have any motivation to continue these talks again, when he starts these talks i feel pain in my abdomen, i do nto know what to do, i cry sometimes and feel alone, but i know for sure that i am not gonna make abortion, pls advice what i could do else to reasure him and free him from his black thougths and fears, he did not say to his family and says he is not ready for that, and says it was too fast and it was not in his plans... the baby...
