If a pregnancy test says that for a positive result you must have a vertical line and for a negative result you must have a clear window...what then does a horizontal line mean?
I have used this test before but never had a postivie result...what came back was a faint pink horizontal line (instead of a clear window or vertical line).

Could it be a defective test or a positive result?

Thanks in advance!

If you still have the box that the test came in and it says the line should be vertical, then the strip must have been inserted sideways when it was manufactured (the only explanation I can think of).

I'd buy a new test, to be sure. Maybe try a different brand?

Also, I usually buy a 2-pack, for just this situation. If I'm satisfied with the answer of the first test, I can hang on to the 2nd test for next month!

I hope you get the answer you are looking for!!

definite, this has befell to me, and the two situations it became into relatively a unfavorable result...the tests that i took defined that the advantageous line may well be interior the comparable spot and the comparable thickness, yet must be somewhat lighter or darker. what i do now's by utilising the digital tests that surely say "pregnant" or "no longer pregnant" so i'm able to take the wager artwork out of it...the digital tests will additionally permit you already know if the try is defective or no longer achieved precise. they are slightly greater high priced, yet completely rather well worth the coverage. superb of success!!!

if you turn the tool 90 degrees, the horizonal line becomes a vertical line, but dont rely on this answer go see someone who you can show the tool with the line.
