I wondered the same thing. My daughter is 15w 1d and the baby's heartbeat is between 170 and 185. I was so worried but everyone says it's fine.
Isn't it an awesome sound? I cried my eyes out when I first heard it. Congrats.
EDIT: To all of those below me that said that as baby gets bigger it goes down...Well when my daugher was 10 weeks the baby's heartbeat was 140 and now, 15w 1d, it is around 180 and the doc said it's fine.

I think its the range of 120-180 is a normal heartbeat for a fetus! Congrats!

yeah it's fine .
My son's at 9 weeks was 173 .
and they said that is really good .
Then at 16 weeks it was 153 ,.
So yeah it's normal the smaller the baby the faster.
It tends to go down some, because when the fetus gets larger the heart doesn't have to work as hard as when it was a tiny speck .
So don't worry .
It's really good .
At least it is strong right.?

Yep that's fine. The smaller the baby the higher the heart beat so as the baby grows it will likely go down some.
Congrats!! it's a wonderful sound.

yes it's normal as the baby develops more it'll slow down a little. If something was wrong the doctor would have said something.
