Pregnancy - August 2007

In almost 20 i already have a 18mnth old daughter. My BF askd me if I would like to have more kids i said yes but i didnt know when. I would kinda like to wait till after my 21 b-day but then the kids would be almost 4yrs apart. He wants to try NOW so that they are 2-3yrs apart. What do you think is best closer in age or farther apart?

5 weeks, i have no insurance and have applied for medicaid, but not accepted yet!! I have had 2 miscarraiges in between my 2 boys and scared about it, my ? is should i go to the appt. i have scheduled for tommorrow or wait until Medicaid kicks in which should be any day now? I have not had any probs yet, but really think i should go a.s.ap!! What do you think? Thanks!!

I know early prenatal care is important!! It is going to cost anywhere from $85-245 for my visit tommorrow depending on what they do!!

A coworker of mine invited me last year to come over for a few drinks. I had something going on last year and had to cancel. Well she just asked me again today to come over tomorrow night. I said I would go; however, I haven't told anyone at that I am pregnant. I need some advice on what to do. I really like this girl and appreciate the invite and would love to go if I wasn't pregnant. What should I tell her? Should I just be honest with her about the pregnancy and ask her not to say anything? Basically I want to be invited again, and I don't want her to think I am avoiding her.

Today I went to the doctor for my 36 week check up. I told him that I have been cramping a lot and that my lower back had been acky. He told me that I am starting to thin our and dialate and that is why I am cramping but he didnt check me. He said that he isnt worried though because I am almost term. He also said that the baby is in positon and is engaged but I know that it is time for that anyways. What I want to know is how does he know I am thinning and dialating and does this mean I may go early?

This is my first baby and I was in L&D last night for five hours w contractions that were 3-4 min apart. They are still continuing today. But, the Dr examined me and said that I was not dialated at all. He also said to be ready for a baby anytime soon. Does that mean a day or two or four weeks? I am confused. How long could these contractions go on without dialation or will I begin to dialate? Any advice from anyone who has gone through this? Thanks!!

Do you have to be in the hospital for all that long or your go there when the pain is really excurciating. If so, how long is that going to take? I'm having by first child btw.

i had sex in june and it is now august. if i had gotten pregnant i would be 8 weeks. i have had my period each month since then and taken many pregnancy tests and recieved a negative result. is there any chance i can still be pregnant?

If you remember me I'm the one who had all the questions about "Could I be pregnant?" "I had no period, how can the doctor tell?"

Well, I ended up having a miscarriage. I was told after one normal cycle we can try again.

How easy is it to get pregnant again after a miscarriage? I've read that you're more fertile. Could that mean twins maybe, or just quicker than normal?

I'm at work right now, and ever since I found out I was pregnant I've been so antsy. I don't really do anything right now, its low season and there isn't much to do to keep me busy. I am 18 weeks.. so the movement that i feel from the baby is occasional flutters.. i dont have any cramping or anything weird.. checked the babies heartbeat last night and it was perfect..but today, my belly feels smaller.. softer.. any advice? I am a first timer, so be nice :)

I am almost 23 wks preg., and was thinking about who I want in the delivery room. Well, I talked with my mom even earlier in my preg, & she told me how she would be there. I was psyched! Yesterday, I was talking with my husband & we said how nice it would be to have both grandma's in the room. So, he called his mom & asked her, she was ecstatic! She was so excited that she wanted to call my mom and talk about how exciting it was. My mom then called me and told me how nice it was to invite my mother-in-law & then said she was so happy that my mother-in-law would be able to go because she probably wasn't going to be able to make it. I said, "What? You have to be there?" She told me how she would love to but probably wouldn't. I was so upset and still am. Everyone is about the same distance away from the hospital including my husband, 2-3 hours. It's my hormones, but I am sad that I have to theoretically prepare for no one to be there.

last week i did an ovulation test and tried on day 18 of my cycle all this week ive been exhausted and my boobs have felt so painful and like they r full of rocks i have done a clearblue test today 4 days b4 my period is due and i have a positive although its very faint and i mean faint i have been so excited all day and now im doubting it thinking its too early to tell and especially with me ovulating quite l8 the fa\int line came up pretty much straight away within 2 mins just wanted to know if there is a possibility it could be an evaporation line

Hi all, i need advice today. Im just over 18wks, and I have this awful feeling in my lower stomach, especially wen i stand up and move around, like pressure or someone has a fist pushed into my stomach, very uncomfortable. And wen i go to use the bathroom, my underwear is damp. I know im probably only getting wound up over nothing but just wanta check. Is it just leakage due to an expanding uterus?

im 13 weeks and 1 day today, i went to the jobcentre today (the first time i have tried to get benefits) as my agency have sinced stopped getting me work since i told them i was pregnant( i know its wrong but cannot really do anything bout it becoz only been there 2 months. so anyway i now have to get some benefits, i went to the jobcentre with a booked appointment and i was 5 minutes late because the man on the phone gave me the wrong direction's and wen i got there this man and women who worked there was really rude to me, i ended up screaming and crying like an ideot in the middle of the jobcentre (bear in mind i had just walked 30 minutes to find the place aswell) because they said go home and rebook but it was in a really rude way sorry to tell you big long story but just needed to vent! am i a freak or is it just my hormones ( im not noramlly like this before i was pregnant) did anyone else feel like this when they were pregnant is it normal?

I am 31 weeks as of tomorrow and was just wondering is it ok and normal for pregnant women to keep driving right up until delivery. I mean I know at a certain point I won't drive alone incase I go into labor. Thanks all

Hello. I had my last period on 17th June, which lasted for 7 days. I havent got my periods yet. I went for a pregnancy test today. It came positive. I am afraid, whether its true or not because, the strip manufacturing company says to hold the strip for 5 seconds in urine stream while I held it for 20 seconds ( I've forgotten it !! ). My second last period was on 27th april. It means my period cycle is quite long ( more than 50 days !! ) . I am very scared and not getting wat to do. I'm married and dont want child this much earlier. Please help me to know wat to do next ?
