Are there ways other than the ultrasound to find out the sex of your baby?

No for sure way of knowing! Not even with an ultrasound. Birth is the best way...I was forced to wait with my daughter because every ultrasound I had she just refused to cooperate!

They can test blood. It's just as expensive as a good ultrasound though, and an ultrasound is a lot more fun because you get to see the baby.

We figured it out by using a stethoscope to count the heartbeat. Boys and girls have different rates. We were right both times. Do a Google search to find the two ranges. I could ask my wife but she would be "slightly" annoyed that I am even mentioning this.

and look at the Chinese Gender chart. I have heard it is pretty accurate. It was true for my first child. Other than that you need an ultrasound. (people claim your side effects can depict it, but I have not found that to be true at all)

amnio is the most accurate, next to waiting to give birth. ultrasounds are just guesses

Amniocentesis. Anything else (Chinese calendars, wedding rings on strings, carrying "high" or "low") are old wives' tales. Sorry.

and...the chinese lunar calendar was wrong in my moms case. i guess i shoulda been a boy ;)
