A coworker of mine invited me last year to come over for a few drinks. I had something going on last year and had to cancel. Well she just asked me again today to come over tomorrow night. I said I would go; however, I haven't told anyone at that I am pregnant. I need some advice on what to do. I really like this girl and appreciate the invite and would love to go if I wasn't pregnant. What should I tell her? Should I just be honest with her about the pregnancy and ask her not to say anything? Basically I want to be invited again, and I don't want her to think I am avoiding her.

I'd say go. Explain to her that you are pregnant and ask her not to tell anyone and then drink sprite or something.

If you don't want to tell her that you are pregnant, tell her that you are feeling bad and you THINK you might be pregnant, this way, it doesn't leak out to everyone. If you do not mind telling her that you are pregnant, tell her. Go over there anyway and bring some bloody mary mix or some other mix that contains no alcohol. Bring over some food! You can still hang out with people while you are pregnant. I go to concerts all of the time at outside venues or venues that are non-smoking. I have a great time and I ask for virgin drinks. It's pretty obvious that I am pregnant though, so it doesn't do me much good to try to hide it these days! Have fun!

ok. first of all, I guess that those young ones are the two being bullied or in simple terms want expert help. I remember as quickly as I first observed this series. Granted I DID have a dying notice yet I saved it as a mag and a sketchbook. I felt that the outward visual charm could be adequate to maintain human beings faraway from me if i grow to be having a undesirable day. i think of youngsters below the age of 18 shouldn't watch dying notice if that's the result.

Well, if you're driving home, you could always use that excuse. Or, if it fits the situation, you could volunteer to bring some non-alcoholic drink.
There should be enough going on, other than the consumption of booze that you can concentrate on, not making a big deal about the fact that you're "abstaining"
congrats, though!

If you are not ready to tell everyone you are pregnant than just go and have a good time, tell her you are going to pass on the alcohol, you should not have to explain why!! Some people so not drink!!

There are plenty of excuses for not drinking. You can still go to the party, but make up an excuse. For example, "I have to get up early tomorrow," "I haven't been feeling very well today," "I drank too much last night," etc.

What if you just go over and have non alcoholic drinks? Just say you don't like to drink on the weekdays or you're a lightweight or you just don't drink. Say I'd love to hang out, yes, but I prefer nonalcoholic drinks.

I would just go and have a good time. If you drive your self there, then you have the excuse of you are not going to drink cause you have to drive yourself home.
And that's being truthful.
Have fun. And Congrats.

Just go and enjoy yourself without the alcohol. If you are really wanting noone to know, don't tell her b/c she may be one that cannot keep a secret. I would just tell her when you got there that you really weren't up to drinking, or that you're on antibiotics for a cold or something....go enjoy yourself.
