last week i did an ovulation test and tried on day 18 of my cycle all this week ive been exhausted and my boobs have felt so painful and like they r full of rocks i have done a clearblue test today 4 days b4 my period is due and i have a positive although its very faint and i mean faint i have been so excited all day and now im doubting it thinking its too early to tell and especially with me ovulating quite l8 the fa\int line came up pretty much straight away within 2 mins just wanted to know if there is a possibility it could be an evaporation line

The only way to know is to do another one in a few days. It's very rare to have a false positive, but quite common to have a fa;se negative.

I would say to wait a few more days and try again. You probably are pregnant though and the reason why it was faint is because your hormones haven't really gotten much of a chance to rise yet so you got a weak positive. I've gotten a weak positive before and I was pregnant. Good luck and congratulations if you are (I am pretty sure that you are though because like the other girl said, you never get a false positive. Only usually negative because those tests are designed to look for the high hormone levels due to pregnancy and the levels wouldn't be higher unless you were pregnant or have a health condition that makes them high).

Im not sure, but i did the clearblue digital test like a week before i was due and got a positive, which was very correct.
I got a positive so early because I found out i ovulated early that month.
I would jjust try again tomorrow morning with the first morning's urine. You most likely are, since it is unloikely to get a false positive.

I know exactly how you feel... I planned out the pregnancy, calculated my ovulation...... tried every other day around ovulation..... didn't feeel sick...... My boobs never hurt.... but I took that first test... and BARELY saw a line and I thought I was imagining it.... this was 3 days before my period... I just knew I wanted it so bad that it was my imagination... and the next day at work, during my lunch I went to walmart and got the clear blue ditital test and it said "PREGNANT" and I scheduled an appointment with my DR and got blood test.... And sure enough... I am pregnant..... 5 weeks.... :) False positives are RARE... so take another one and try the digital.... you don't have to worry about "is that a line or not?"

The possibility of a false positive is pretty rare. My positive result came up within seconds. I thought that was just too quick for a result to show but hahaha turns out that yep I am pregnant. Take another test if it makes you feel more comfortable. For mine I had an easier time peeing in a cup rather than trying to pee on the stick. It makes it easier to control where the pee is on it. Congratulations!!! You are pregnant. As many have mentioned already, it is very rare to get a false positive on an HPT test. It is more common to get a false negative on an HPT. That is what happened to me, but I kept trying and found out I was pg. If it will ease your mind, go to your ob/gyn and get a blood test to be absolutely sure. Other than that, I would say it is time to start getting ready for baby.

I took a clearblue pregnancy test b4 my period was due and had the same thing happen. I am now 12 weeks. And due Fed. 26

I thought i was pregnant a year or so ago so i went and got a clear blue which turned out positive i couldn't believe my eyes so i did another which came out negative, I'd say the best thing to do is go and see your doctor. Can't always be sure with home kits.

congrats you are pregnant!!!, i know it can be a worry when you get a faint pos but do what i did and test again either tomorrow morn with first urine or wait a couple of days to get that defo pos. I'm 28 weeks with baby no:2 and i have to admit i took about 3 different tests to confirm and as i did them they got brighter. good luck xxxx
