My mom is a naurcotic shes never in a right state of mind hasnt since i was about 13 Im 17 and a half now and I wanted birth control to make my period regular I was sick of guessing when it was going to come I was too scared to ask my dad for it it was too embarrassing, that and he always assumes the wrong things like that Im a bad person or something; so i went out and got birth control pills on my own from the health center. About a month later I went to NC to visit my boyfriend who is in the marines, and we had protected sex thinking we were extra protected with the birth control and the condom little were we wrong I'm now 13 weeks pregnant and getting constant head aches and blacking out My boyfriend is now my fiance and his mother says i need to be put on prenatal vitamins soon My dad has kicked me out numerous times and scares me I never did anything wrong he just does drugs. I need to see a dr but im afraid to tell him im pregnant how do i tell him when im terrified of him

For my son I tried going natural... went hours and hours and hours with out medication but was not progressing until the patosin (spelling?) and I was only at a four and they told me that it would be about an hour per centimeter and I realized if I went another 6 hours I would not have enough energy to actually give birth. So I asked for the epideral before they checked me. Then 5 minutes after I had the epideral (hadnt even taken full effect yet!) they check and I was at a 10 and crowning. So he was born 45 minutes after the epideral. ( I did not feel a thing! man if i hadnt want to go natural that worked amazing!) Anyway.
For my next child i really want to be able to go natural again. What helped you cope with the pain?

when yr preggers it looks like it pretty easy to gain lbs. but i looked at a pic of Jackie Kennedy when she was expecting,and by the end she still looked the same. if you do certain excerises can't you still look kinda the same,in a healthy way. b/c i gain lbs easily, so i was thinking if i have a kid, im never gonna get back to my normal body shape : (

I think that is awesome. I also think it is amazing because there was no fertility drugs used. These babies are from 2.5 to 3 pounds. I have come to the conclusion that without using fertility drugs the health of twins to sextuplets is healthier. Do you think so? I mean recently there was a set of sextuplets where there were deaths and each mother used fertility drugs. Not sure I trust them!!

I have my forms to have an ultrasound between 15 -20 wks, I reallly want to know the gender, I'm 16 wks and a day and I'm wondering if I should go to my ultrasound now, will they be able to tell the gender for sure at 16 wks?

My wife and I have protected sex with a condom in the first week on august, she has an orgasim first, then I pull out, throw away the condom and have mine. She's told me that she felt nausiated about a week after but it went away. Now, we just got done having sex and when she used the toilet paper she said there was a small amount blood on it. I did some research and read there's something called implatation. My wife's period is due to come around in about 5 days, she's getting some acne patches and we've taken two preg. tests in the last two weeks which have all come out negative. I'm trying to find out what are the odds of her being pregnant (even if we use a condom AND pulled out when I had an orgasim), and if these are signs that she is. Please help!

P.S. She isn't on birth control.

Has anyone found out they were months pregnant and the whole time had been taking their birth control pills? Do you think that could cause the baby harm or make it messed up somehow. I know a lot of women miscarry without knowing it while taking the birth, but what if the baby survives?

I went to the hospital for a early scan and she said im around 5 weeks pregnant and there is 2 like air bubbles there which looks like twins, i have just started spotting very very light brown, and like stringy stuff, im really worried, does anyone have any suggestions of what it could be?

I ended up in the hospital bc I was having back pain. It turned out I was having contractions at 25 weeks but when they checked my cervix it was long and thick. Then I saw my doctor a week or so later and my cervix was already 50% effaced but not dilating yet. I was put on a modified bedrest and now am at 32.5 weeks. Does anyone know how likely it is for me to deliver early? any similar situations?

Doctors used to advise getting an episiotomy to avoid tearing, as they used to say tearing was worse...

But now I'm hearing that it's best to tear, because when you tear, it's only skin, but when they cut they sever muscles, nerves, everything.

While healing time might be longer, and it might be more painful to tear, supposedly if you tear, you are less likely to have incontinence problems later like you would with an episiotomy...

Any opinions?

I can not swallow pills for the LIFE of me. I try grinding them up but i still gag really bad when i put them in something because of the taste. Any suggestions i know its very important to take them but its so hard HELP!

I've recently been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. At first my levels were great. I was eating right, exercising. And still am. I walk 30 minutes after each meal and stay active. But the last 2 days my levels have been high. 127, 118, 132. And now this morning after breakfast (and exercise) it is 155! Why are they so high, when before they were in good range?? Ok. So my question is, is a few days of high levels going to harm my baby?

I am 29 weeks pregnant and just curious what exactly a mucus plug is. I have determined that it is lost near the time of labor, but was wondering if I could obtain more specific information? Will I know when I lose mine or will it depend on my situation? Is it a "feeling" or does something actually come out? I know I haven't lost mine or anything, just wanting some more information from those who have had this experience before.

i have decided to go to my hospital for only the fact that its down the street from me : ( my pregnancy has been great no problem... today is my edd and i have yet to get checked to see if the baby is ok i have a appt to induce already 23rd. i just think its odd that they would set a appt without checking to see if iam dialated, amnio fluid...ect. the doctor has just been way too imprersonal, today i have a doctor appt. and i want then to check on the baby ultra sound, manualy something. what questions should i be asking my doctor. my first baby and have been doing a lot of reading up on everything. I just want to be on top of everything.

I had a laparoscopy 3 months ago which revealed I had both tubes blocked. Only 1 tube was able to be unblocked. My gyni told me I had a high risk of an ectopic pregnancy. Well, I am now 5 weeks pregnant - yippee - thank you! Anyway, now I have to pass the next barrier - ectopic.

Does anyone know when I should start to feel any symptoms? I am having an ultra sound at 6 weeks to check - but I just thought I'd find out when symptoms occur. I know what the symptoms are, just not sure when I might experience them. And hopefully I dont at all.
