im 31 weeks and had just started walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes 2 days ago. I do go at the lowest speed too and i asked a similar question to yours and everyone told me that it is good for you and the baby. Just don't over do it..have a bottle of water next to u incase u get dydrated. And if u feel any faintness or strange stuff ,then give ur dr a call asap. Otherwise..treadmill is great and safe for pregnant women. Just don't RUN on it and don't choose a fast speed.

I looked it up cause I have a treadmill too, every single thing I found about exercise and pregnancy they all said to keep doing what you're doing, but nothing on your back after the 3rd month,. I read stories of women who actually ran until the very end. I cant imagine myself running all the way to end, but Im walking quickly for a half hour or so.

If your treadmill has a safety switch (Mine has a red card with a string on it) it is safe to use. I keep the string around my hand so if I start to fall i pull and the card comes out and it stops immediately. Walking is the best exercise to do, along with swimming, while pregnant.

Before accepting the advice of anyone online, I would strongly recommend that you ask your doctor. Walking and swimming, and treadmill are both great....but consult your doctor. Are you considered a high risk pregnancy? If so, that could alter your excercise habits

walking outside or indoors at a mall is safer... my sister was walking on a treadmill when she was 7 months pregnant and her foot slipped she fell belly down onto it and it flung her off the back she was really burned and scraped up, and had to stay overnight at the hospital , she was having some bad contractions...but everything was ok

yes, I did that from 4 months up until about a month ago. Its very good for you, just make sure you drink plenty of water and stay cool. Dont over-do yourself and if you feel tired, stop. Good for you for staying fit! Im 34 weeks now and dont have the energy to do it anymore. Good luck to you and congrats on your pregnancy! :)

as long as your heart rate doesnt get above 140 beats per minute, you are ok.
they encourage exercise while preg, but nothing over strenuous. dont let your self get too exhausted and drink plenty of water while you're at it

You should really talk to your doctor about that but I believe that exercise in moderation is good for you as it streighten your muscles and prepares you for childbirth. So I would say, if you feel ok after exercising (no cramps, back pain, etc), go for it.
