I'm also curious as to how old you are...

Before you get pregnant it's a good idea to have a complete physical from your OB/GYN to make sure you're totally healthy. It's also a good idea to get any major dental work that you may need done taken care of before you get pregnant. Routine cleaings can be done during pregnancy though. Start eating healthy and start taking a prenatal vitamin that has folic acid (folic acid has been proven to prevent some birth defects). Also, I don't know if you smoke or not, but you should quit before you get pregnant. Also you shouldn't be taking drugs or drinking alcohol.

The next step is the obvious one: unprotected sex! You can help things along by using ovulation predictor kits or by charting your fertility signs using a fertility chart (try www.fertilityfriend.com or another similar website.) It's really helpful to know when you ovulate which is 14 days before your next period. So generally you have to count back 14 days from the first day of your last period, and as long as your cycles are pretty regular then that should be around the time you ovulate. So for instance, if you have 26 day cycles then you should count back 14 days which means you'll ovulate around day 12 of your cycle. A lot of women just think they ovulate on the 14th day of their cycle but this isn't true because not every woman has a perfect 28 day cycle. My cycles are 25-26 days and so I always ovulated on the 11th or 12th day which was really just a few days after my period ended. Does that make sense?
I got pregnant the first try with my first baby. Then it took six months to get pregnant with my second. My third was a little bit of an accident but a wonderful accident. :o) So just relax and enjoy the process!

The best time to get pregnant is when you are ovualting, so the first thing to do is figure that out. Typically, a woman ovulates about 14 days after the first day of her last period. For example, if you started your period on the 1st of the month, then your time of ovualtion would be around the 15th of the month.

If you have irregular periods, it can be tricky to determine when you ovulate. Buying an Ovulation Test can help determine when you ovulate. It works by dipping the test strip into urine. It can pick up hormones found in your urine and tell you when you are ovualting. They cost about 10 bucks, and can be found almost anywhere that sells pregnancy tests, condoms, etc.

Once you have determined when you are ovulating, have sex! Try to have sex the day before, during, and the day after you ovulate, to help increase your chances.

Having sex all the time, every day will NOT increase your chances of becoming pregnant, because a woman doesnt ovualte everyday. When a man continually ejaculates, it makes his sperm count lower and weaker. Try to save sex for the time of ovualtion only, at least until you get pregnant.

After sex, keep your legs and hips elevated for at least 30 minutes. This helps the sperm get where it needs to go. Many times, a woman gets up after sex, and most of the sperm either drips out or is washed away while using the bathroom.

If oyu are planning on becoming pregnant, then start taking prenatal vitamins. You do not need to be pregnant to buy these, and you can buy these over the count for about 12 bucks anywhere that sells vitamins.

Avoid smoking and drugs.........

Drinking Red Rasberry Leaf Tea can help. The Indians have used it for centuries. It helps tone up the uterus, making conception easier.

Good luck!

Dont try to get pregnent just let it happen. Dont have planed sex nights it is not some type of schedule for you and your pard.
Dont worry if you dont get pregnent the first month. Chances are your body has to get rid of all the birth control you may have been on. So it might take a few months. But like I said just let it happen and dont stress out about it. Stress only decreases the chances.

The best thing you can do is to calm down and just enjoy sex. That's it.

If you've been trying for more than 6 months, start to track your ovulation using a kit you can buy in the store. Six months later, see a specialist.

Do NOT mess with hormones without a doctor's approval.

NOTE TO cute_blonde_angel: Your claim to studying to become a "Prenatal Doctor" is suspicious. If you were studying legitimate medicine you would know the right terminology is "OBSTETRICIAN" or studying Obstetrics.

"Does "he" know you're trying to get p-r-e-g-n-a-n-t?
H-o-r-m-o-n-e-s require a prescription and cannot be bought over the counter.

From your questions, spelling, and lack of knowledge of pregnancy, I'd say you need to wait another 15 years before becoming pregnant.

you need to start taking prenatals now if you are planning conception..you can buy them in the vitamin isle at any local chain store or drug store. I got on webmd.com and created an ovulation calendar based on my periods and it told me the best days to have sex. I would let my husband ejaculate then have my orgasm. Then I would prop my bottom on a pillow for thirty minutes.

You can start on pre natal vitamins. After intercourse, lay there for a bit. You can also prop your bum up with a pillow so that the spermies swim up the Fallopian tubes.
