I ended up in the hospital bc I was having back pain. It turned out I was having contractions at 25 weeks but when they checked my cervix it was long and thick. Then I saw my doctor a week or so later and my cervix was already 50% effaced but not dilating yet. I was put on a modified bedrest and now am at 32.5 weeks. Does anyone know how likely it is for me to deliver early? any similar situations?

It really varies. I was 50% effaced for 4 weeks before giving birth. 100% effaced and dialated to 2 for 2 weeks.

If you are on modified bed rest and not total, your doctor must feel good about the fact that you're not in danger of going into labor soon. I had my daughter at 26 weeks and they don't know why (she spend 3 months in hospital with lots of complications but now is a healthy normal 4 year old!) and with my son I was in the hospital with contractions at 33.5 weeks and on bed rest until 35 weeks and had him at 37.5 weeks (he was completely healthy). I hope this helps!

If you get off bed rest it's most likely you will deliver early. you don't want to deliver before 37 weeks. Try to make it to 37 weeks.
