Pregnancy - August 2007

I'm 40 1/2 weeks pregnant and still have not dialted, baby has dropped and is head down ready to come out. I just saw my doctor 2 days ago and shes giving me 1 week before they induce labor. The problem with that is, if they induce and i'm not dialeted, i'm going to have to get a c-section. that is so not something i want. I've read all these tips on starting contractions, but i need tips on opening up my cervix... anybody?

This may sound silly but im curious. If a woman ovulates close to the end of the sperms life cycle is there a risk of complications during or after pregnancy? I ask this because the sperm are starting to die and I would think are not as healthy as fresh ones.

i answered a question for a girl earlier about ecoptic pregnancies. i gave her my input, nothing rude, or stupid, and i got a thumbs down. was it becuz of my typing? i use an on screen keyboard cuz my real one is broke, so i type short cuz it takes a long time 2 type.

I was just wondering i am ttc. But there are a bunch of problem areas i have mainly my legs, butt and arms. I was just wondering if i get pregnant can i still work my legs in hopes to tone and get rid of all my cellulite...same with the arms and butt?

and still carry on pregnancy - maybe I'm in denial about my body aborting my baby, but if you read my previous posts, I didn't pass any clots whatsoever, and bled for 3 days.... took pregnancy tests all up to the second day of bleeding, all negative, took one on the 3rd day, positive....Just venting, but I still feel pregnant, and obviously i shouldn't if the hormone levels are only at 15 right now??....anyone ever have levels drop then rise again this early???

hey everyone i am 25 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and my tummy is about the size of a soccer ball the doc says it measured perfectly 24 at my appt. a week before.

Well for the past few days my stomach has been REALLY itchy, and i am a light complexion so it also has been a bit red. Is this normal? Usually when my belly starting itching my stomach grew some more. Is this what it could be? I tried a shower, cold compress, and lotion but the lotion doesnt help, i just have a shiny, soft itchy belly (no stretch marks) please help this itching is driving me nuts!

Just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant and my wedding is 4 weeks away!!!

#1. I have been tanning 2 times a week just to keep a glow from the summer, can I still do this if its for only like 10 mins a time and get out before I get hot?

#2. Is there a safe way that I can still have my hair dyed before the wedding?? My appointment was in 3 weeks and I am full of grey roots!!!!

These may be dum questions to some of you.....so please just move along and ignore it rather than posting something cruel.

Thanks to everyone who answered my last batch of private questions and encouraging me to ask and become informed, so here are more doubts:
1. Did you vomit during delivery?I hear that nausea and vomiting can happen
2. If you used an epidural,does your back hurt a long time afterwards from where the needle went in?
3.Just found out that after birth you use a peri bottle. Was it gross? How long after were you able to use paper?
4.I've read a lot of books that talks about the stitching after delivery but I don't know what it really means: do you get stitched only if you tear?or only if you have an episotomy? Is stitching a must for every delivery?
5. How difficult was postpartum depression? How long did it last? How do you feel towards the child and father during this time?

Ok has anyone ever had pregnancy symptoms ongoing and had no medical explanation? ( im not TTC but im having the symptoms) My Doctor has tested me for everything! including preg. and nothing apparently im healthy but I keep having pregnancy symptoms. for the last 6 1/2 weeks.

The symptoms go away the day I start my period and then come back the day I stop my period... I cant figure out what going on, has anyone else experienced this ????

Well I have tried to ask this question a couple of times with few responses so I'll try again! My husband and I had sex without a condom on for atleast the first 15 minutes of sex and pulled out about 20 seconds before he went. I know there is the risk of pre-ejaculatory fluid with this scenario. Secondly, although he didnt complete inside me, about 3 other times semen was on my vulva and he placed his fingers inside me which would have moved the semen further in. I know this is a bit 'too much info' but I'm asking because I'm curious if this seems like it could lead to pregnancy and what your thoughts are.

how do u know that u are done having kids?
cause i know afetr each pregnancy u say no more but when u see a baby in town or if someone u know had a newborn 2 start feeling brudie and u want another one etc so how do u know that ur family is completed?

Approximately how long after a person has intercourse would they start seeing signs of pregnancy? Is 7 days too soon for symptoms such as nausea, constipation (sp?), and tiredness?

When pregnant I was on holiday with my family and we'd packed to go home. We'd won some soft toys on a grabber but not having room in our bags we donated them to the local kids club. We left them outside the door and I broke my heart at the thought of the poor teddies being left outside all alone lol. Totally nuts I know.

i am 4 mo preg and this will be my third pregnancy but with my first two i didnt feel nothing until i was atleast 5 1/2 or 6 moths. these feeling are not just flutters i can actually feel movement and some kicks every now and then and also the baby's sack is soooo low i can tell because there is so much pressure right there as if im already 7 or 8 mo. do you guys think thats bad or can that be normal. also i wanted to know is it normal to be showing like a lot and real big and its all pregnant big if im only 4 mo. it wasnt like that either with my first two boys.t wanted a little advise from so other while im here at home bored. please only serious responses. My doctors appt is not until next week and im sick of calling the hospital just for them to tell me to come in and then nothings ever wrong and i get sent home after sitting there forever. so i just wanted to hold until my doct appt and get advise from people that might be in the same boat or people who know a little bit more.
