I am 31 weeks and have had ZERO sex drive the entire pregnancy. I feel bad for my husband, becuase we didn't think it would be like that, but he for the most part has been understanding. He says that if I am not enjoying it then he is not enjoying it. It has given us an opportunity to bond in other ways. I have talked to a lot of women about this and it seems pretty normal. I would say 50% said they couldn't get enough sex, and 50% said they didn't want any.

No, it's not bad! It's perfectly normal to be either way! Some people want it more because of hormonal changes, increased flow of blood to the pelvic region, etc. And people don't want it for the same reasons! It's especially difficult to get in the mood when you're feeling fat, exhausted, bloated, emotional, and possibly sick (if you're still suffering any effects of morning sickness). Everyone is different when it comes to this. Me, I feel like you. The less, the better. :) Explain to your husband why you're not feeling it right now, and ask him to be compassionate. Talk about it. Reassure him that it's got nothing to do with him, and that your being pregnant is causing changes in every area of your life. He may not understand completely where you're coming from, but he's not the one carrying the beautiful new life you two created! He should, however, be understanding and allow you to call the shots for right now in that part of your relationship...after all, your body is working hard enough growing a baby, without having to worry about someone else's needs. Don't worry, but do discuss your feelings. In times of lack of physical closeness, sometimes emotional closeness can be even more fulfilling. Congrats and best of luck!!

when i first found out i was pregnant, i wanted sex all the time. in my second trimester i didnt want it at all. i am now in my third and i still dont want it. explain to your husband what you are experiencing and how you feel. he should understand and if he doesnt shame on him. i read in my pregnancy week to week book that you either want it all the time when you are pregnant or not at all. i guess we are two of the not at all people lol.

This is all normal, at first I didnt like it either. I am now 22 weeks and I LOVE IT. You need to try positions that are comfy for you, such as on your side. Thats the only way that is comfy to me!

That is normal, some people love sex more when pregnant some people do not. I myself hated sex during my pregnancy. Just explain to your husband that to you it just doesnt feel right and maybe offer to please him in other ways?
