I never did. She had her leg closed every time. I found out her gender from amniocentesis.

I was 18 weeks, I think. The earliest you can tell is 16 weeks, but most doctors will not do an ultrasound until 18-20 weeks. The longer you wait, the more likely it is to be accurate. Any earlier than 16 weeks, it's almost never right. The genitalia are not formed enough to be decipherable!

I had an ultrasound 20 weeks but the little bugger had its legs crossed so we did another ultrasound around 26 weeks or so and we found out we were having a boy.. Needless to say that was over three years ago.. I think that probably around 20 weeks is when they like to do them...

Most of the time one should be able to tell the sex of the baby by about 20 weeks and very often even at sixteen. With modern equipment, the diagnosis can be made even as early as 11 to 12 weeks. On the other hand, as the correct visualization of any fetal part depends of a host of factors such as fetal position, and thickness of the abdominal wall.

I actually found out yesterday that it was a girl. I am 20 weeks pregnant. That is typically, but not always, when they try to do the ultrasound. Good luck and congratulations.

I am going in at 20 weeks to find out. My cousin found out she was having a girl at 17 weeks though.

20 weeks, and we saw his 'turtle.' Some other ultrasound techs refer to the male as the hotdog, and the female as the hamburger. I think it's funny.

22 weeks for the baby triplets that are coming along now- I found out at 17 weeks for my two girls, and around 22 for my boy.
