WOW! CONGRATS!! yes , your uterus is only so big ( I'm 27 weeks, Due Nov. 22nd with a boy) by now even in a singleton pregnancy the baby is running out of space and is becoming cramped, no long able to strech out it is curled up in the fetal position... so the more babies the fast they run out of room the sooner you will deliver... I know for twins the last 3-4 weeks the babies STOP growing because there is just no more room.. I'm sure the same is true for triplets !
you should feel so blessed to be having triplets I hope your happy , my best word of advice is to line up some good family and friend s to help and get all the sleep you can now!!!

I would think that the doctor would adjust the due date according to how long he expects triplets to gestate, but maybe not. It is true that multiples are usually born in less than 40 weeks. The more that are in there, the sooner they are born. I recently read an article about sixtuplets who were born at 26 weeks. Yikes! They were so tiny. I read another article about quadruplets just last week born around 30 weeks. Also very tiny.
Good luck and Congrats.

Technically if you deliver today you won't even be considered premature. At 37 weeks all your baby is doing is putting on weight. They're fully formed already. 1 or 2 weeks earlier is good with diabetes, otherwise during the last week or so a natural labour can be very dangerous during the last week. I had my little girl at 36 weeks, emergency c-section, totally unrelated to my diabetes. I'd get induced at 38/9 weeks no hesitation. Your baby will be fine, but if you wait too long you may not be.

As you get closer to your due date they may put you on bedrest, but be prepared to deliver as early as 32 weeks. Get your bags packed at around 27 weeks (Make sure you have some nightgowns big enough in your bag.)
