and still carry on pregnancy - maybe I'm in denial about my body aborting my baby, but if you read my previous posts, I didn't pass any clots whatsoever, and bled for 3 days.... took pregnancy tests all up to the second day of bleeding, all negative, took one on the 3rd day, positive....Just venting, but I still feel pregnant, and obviously i shouldn't if the hormone levels are only at 15 right now??....anyone ever have levels drop then rise again this early???

I did wait, I was almost a week late when I tested and it showed positive....I just read somewhere that a drop in levels is a sign to doctors/midwifes that the pregnancy MAY NOT make it through the first trimester...im confused, I have 3 children, all healthy as can be....

Pregnancy hormones don't drop, then go up again. They double every 2-3 days. If there is a drop, then it's a miscarriage. If your levels have dropped from 27 to 15, then you are having a very early miscarriage. I am so sorry. This is why I don't use those early pregnancy tests. I don't want to know if I'm having a miscarriage that early if I don't have too. With my first pregnancy I took a very early test and got a positive a week before my period was due. My doctor told me that 50% of these very early preganncies end in miscarriage due to the fertilized egg not implantating properly for whatever reason. I was so freaked out. This time I waited until I missed my period before testing, since by the time you miss your period the egg has implanted and miscarriage rates go down to 15-25%.

*by the time you miss your period, your levels should be at least 100. Here are my levels from my current pregnancy. The weeks and days are counted from my last period.

4 weeks 6 days: 1452
5 weeks 1 day: 2557
5 weeks 4 days: 5772
6 weeks 5 days: 24,300

There is a range of what's normla, but mine are the average.
