I had my son over six months ago. I gained 80lbs, yes 80lbs during the pregnancy. Went from 140 to 220. I have lost 45 pounds so far but in the last month I haven't lost anything. I have hit a plateau and I'm afraid I won't lose the rest. I'm breastfeeding and I eat relatively well, drinks tons of water. Because of feet problems I can't go out and walk, I use my yoga ball for exercise but it doesn't give me any cardio. Did you plateau? Did you lose more after you stopped breastfeeding? I have cut my calories to 1800 day, according to my doc that is the least I can consume without compromising the breastfeeding. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have just posted a question, "What is wrong with me?", and the main response seems to be that I have post natal depresion but I dont have thoughts of harming my baby, I love both my children so much and I could never hurt either one of them. I thought that pnd was when you didnt want to know your baby and you wanted to hurt them, am I wrong in thinking this? Can you still have pnd even if you dont resent your baby?

It will be 6 weeks in just a few days since I gave birth to my baby girl. I stopped bleeding about 2 weeks ago and today I started bleeding again. It's not very heavy, but I thought it was really weird. I'm breastfeeding exclusively. I thought bc I was breastfeeding that it would be months before I got my period. Now that I think about it, I have felt slightly crampy, but I thought that was just my body getting back to normal. Anyone else start their period this early while breastfeeding?
(And I have called my dr... just waiting to hear back from them!)

I am pregnant with my sencond pregnancy. I found out what i'm having in 2 days. I'm just wondering if you guys can give me some of your insight, so to speak. With my 1st i was sick all the time, tired, miserable, mean, and emotional. I had a girl. This time, I haven't had any sickness, no mood swings really at all, in fact, i'm a pig, i eat every thing, don't seem to gain much weight at all, and am happier than ever, so what do you think i could be having, i find out in 2 days...

Seriously people. Do you really think cutting a baby's penis to "look like dad" is logical? What kind of dad has a tiny penis with no pubic hair? Is it really so hard to tell a kid
(if he ever asks) "daddy had an operation on his penis, but we knew it was not necessary when you were born."

Why is this still being perpetuated as a legitimate reason to permanently alter a child?

Were you married before you had kids? Did you wait until you were married to start having kids? I'm ust asking cuz most of my family had atleast one kid ot of wedlock. I'm making myself wait until I'm married to have kids. It's just something I said I would always stick to. I have no problem with it either way. Just curious what other people did. What age were you? Were you engaged? Was the baby planned? Are you still with the other person?

"Where do babies come from."

I am pregnant and I went to a Christmas party tonight where my professor's 5 year old daughter asked me how the baby got in my belly. I told her to ask her mom, but it made me think of a situation with my younger sister that made me chuckle. My little sister is 14 years younger than I am. I remember when she asked my mom, "where do babies come from?" Mom said, "Daddy plants a seed in mommy and then the baby grows in mommy's belly." A few weeks later my sister (who was about 5 at the time) went up to mommy and said "Mommy, daddy and I have been talking. We want another baby so I am going to hold you down and daddy will plant his seed."

Being an expectant parent, I am not sure how I will answer that question. What did you tell your child when they asked you where babies come from? Did you give them the "real" answer, perhaps a watered down version, or maybe a plain old fictitious answer (eg. the stork brings them)? What was their response?

Hey all! I have a 2 year old daughter and baby #2 due in March. I am looking for a great double stroller and would like your input! We've kinda been looking at the Kolecraft Tandem stroller. Any input or reccommendations on great double strollers (preferably for under $300). Thanks in advance and God bless!

I'm 9 months pregnant and I'm in the process of leaving my husband...I told him to go home for Christmas, I don't want to be around him...he is basically a horrible person. He said he doesn't care about me but wants to see his son born so he isn't going to go home. I just can't bare being around him anymore...he slanders me, critisizes me, and just plain hurts me. Do I have a say, I don't care if it was just me, I don't want him in there.

I eventually would like to have children.
However i'm extremely afraid of childbirth.. i really can't even express it in words on here. Senior year in high school i remember having to watch a video on childbirth and i ended up having a panic attack and passing out.
I'm not just being a drama queen..
I'm considering adopting, but are you allowed to adopt if you are physically capable of having your own baby?

My cousin has a boy that will be 2 at the end of this month. He has yet to say his first word. He is smart otherwise, but there are some warning signs of autism. I dont want to offend her by telling this to her in the case that he is just slow to speak.
She also is thinking about having another child.
Do I remain quiet despite my concerns? I dont think she should have another child untill she 1) makes sure child #1 is oaky 2) Get married to the father and 3) Gets more then a one bedroom apt in Brooklyn.
The marriage thing in none of my business, but Shes like a sister. I really care about her and her family.

We have 3 boys and 1 girl
and we already have names picked out for another child, but we are reluctant because children are so much work.
Should we really have another child or just call the idea crazy and go on with our life??

There are a lot of questions that ask "what is a good age to start having kids?" And more than half the answers are, or start with "when you are married."

Do you think it makes your relationship more stable? Do you think it means you are less likely to separate? Do you think people cant commit to each other if they didn't promise it at a church?

Marriage does not commit two people. It's just a promise, that statistically will be broken. ...... then will cost a lot of money.

Just curious, why people think marriage = responsibility?
