Diesel is a fuel.
Your son will be angry when he's old enough to figure that out. Which will probably be when the kids in school are teasing him about fumes and performance. Why not just name him Hi-Test and be done with it.

They are cute names but they don't sound like the typical twin names like Michael and Michelle, Jason and Julie, etc. I can't help think of Vin Diesel when I see that name. Isadora Rose is pretty.

If my mother in law had her way- everyone of my kids even my son- would have the middle name May. don't listen to her- I was also told my son Hunter's name sounded like an advertisement. Only you and your kids have to like thier names- forget the grandparents- they'll probably come up with a nick name anyway. My daughter Haylee Grace was called Haylee May forever- and my niece Katelynn went by Lucy and her middle name is Marie.

I think they're good names, and they sound fine together. Diesel's a little different, but not bad. The names don't necessarily have to mix just because you're having twins - they'll still be two different children won't they?
Your mother-in-law had her chance to name her children. You can name yours whatever you want. :-)

No to Diesel. Vin Diesel is a made up name, in case that's your inspiration.
As to them "going together"- I think that twins should have separate names without matching sounds or initials. So pick two names that you like and go with it.

They are good names! What does she want, Alexander and Alexis? I love twins, but they need there own names, not matching names. What you are doing will help them develop as individuals and not as just 1/2 of a twin set, good for you! As for your MIL, I would tell her that when she has twins she can name them what ever she wants and you won't put in your 2 cents, so she should leave her 2 cents out of it! Sorry, I just can't stand nosy MIL's (or nosy people in general, but it grates when you have to be nice to them! lol)

Isadora is nice... but Diesel? Are you giving birth to a Mack truck? The names don't mix, but I don't think that's important. Twins names don't have to be all matchy matchy....
But Diesel? Really?

last time I checked, Diesel is what my grandpa put in his semi. I love Isadora Rose, but I'd definitely drop the Diesel.
