I pulled my strength together after each child was born and took my babies to my inlaws house probably 3 days after they were born, because I was in the hospital for 2. We always do our best for our families to see our children and us. My brother in law and sister in law on the other hand, we hardly see them, the last time we saw them it was new years day. She is going to have the baby in August, and I'm afraid I will not be able to spend time with my niece or nephew. I want to be a great Aunt, but how can I be if I never see them, and they won't allow us in their apartment because our children are children. What can I do? She cleans houses and he drives a delivery truck, but they are in this internet thing that they have meeting and sell stuff. So they are always busy I guess with meetings.

Hi!
If you are a woman who was adopted as a child/baby and have gone on to have children of your own, I would love to here from you for the folllowing reason.
My wife and i agreed last year we wanted to start a family. At the beginning of the pregnancy, we were both really excited.
However, my wife began to lose interest very quickly and seemed to become very nervous, not talking to me and crying a lot.
She also refused to watch any of the scans that were done.
The birth was very difficult but both her and the baby are now fine. The problem is that a week and a half on,she has not bonded with our baby, seems very down and refuses to pick him up, feed him play with him etc.
Obviously, i am really concerned.
Thinking about it all, i am worried the fact she was adopted as a young child may have something to do with this as she does not have a good relationship with her adoptive parents and seems to feel very bitter towards her natural mother for not having kept her.
Can U HELP

Im almost 20 years old, I am pregnant with my 2nd baby, the only thing is The father of the baby im carrying is denying the baby ( Only after me and him broke up ) We were engaged last year and were suppose to have been in love, He was so happy when he found out me and him were having a baby together but after I left him and broke off our engagement because he was abusive to me and always made me feel like I was the one who should feel lucky that he was with me because no one would ever love me like he did ( even with all the abusive things he did ) . So now him and his family calls me a whore and doesn't claim that the baby im carrying is my ex fiances and im 38 weeks, I make no contact at all with him or his family, However the twist is, After me and him broke up , 2 months later I started dating someone else and he is really supportive with me through all this, and he loves my 2 year old daughter alot, so thats one of the reasons I think my ex fiance is denying our baby...help!

ok. i was previously with an extremly abusive guy for 7 years and finally got the nerve to leave him. Months later I meet this man, whom im totally in love with now, and could possibly be pregnant with his baby. we have discussed names before and if it is a boy...he wants the name he was given, which is the same as his dads and his grandpas, passed down through generations. i know its really important to him. now heres the dilema. his middle name is that of the abusive man i CHOSE to leave and exclude form my life. i knwo it is so important to him, and i just want him to realize...it would be very wierd for me to have a child named that. what to do ?

I have friends who work whose children of eleven have no adult supervision when they get home from school. I also work so can appreciate the difficulty. My son is weeks away from being eleven. If he is sick and I can't take the time off work, can I get in trouble for leaving him at home alone.

I want to get pregnant, and some days it's all I can think about. It can get very distracting from the rest of my life. It doesn't help that in the past year, I know a dozen babies that have been born to family and friends. Last year was a year of baby showers, this year is a year of first birthdays. Some advice that I have been given to stop being so upset about it is to "stop thinking about it." But how exactly are you supposed to stop thinking about something you want so bad?? Anyone been through this and have any advice?? I am still waiting for my husband to be "ready" to start trying, so I'm sure that doesn't help either...

I want to accomplish three things this spring. I want to have time out by myself at least once a week, I want my husband and I to start exercising, and I want to have a date at least twice a month alone with my husband. Should I sign up for the ballroom dancing class that my husband and I would take together. It is an hour on Thursdays, and we would have to find a babysitter. I've been wanting my husband to learn to dance. Or should I sign up for the fashion makeover class which I would take by myself every Wednesday for 2 1/2 hours. My husband has already agreed to babysit. We could try to make sure we get out on dates every other week for our alone time. And we could start walking together for exercise instead. And no matter what I choose I plan on starting to swim like 3 times a week at night. The difference is I know I'll do the classes I've signed up for and am paying for, the others have no commitment. I'm having a hard time deciding. So which should I do?

I admit, this is going to sound silly........I have a friend who is the mother of a 5 year boy old who seems to be going through a funny phase. Very simply, he has been trying to get her, and even other grown women to sit on his lap! She thought this was funny for a while, but she is getting tired of telling him "no", and trying to explain why it will not work. Is this strange? Has anyone ever heard of this before? She is wondering where this came from and is ready for him to get over it. Any ideas?

I was watching Scrubs the other day and Zach Braff's character (who plays a doctor/nurse or something like that) said that childbirth is over-romanticized. The way he described it, how some women defecate and vomit while in labor really changed my perspective on child birth. Is that common? To those that have given birth, would you agree that childbirth is over-romanticized?

My ex left me 8 months pregnant. Moved to better our lives with a higher paying job..I was moving there with him..he called and broke up with me..saying that he is tired of my bullshit and drama..well he tells me this now..never said a word of it before..I'm emotional because of the pregnancy..I really love him, was together for almost a decade..got together very young. I don't think he knows what he wants. I'm seeing more stories like this everyday..He says he loves me but doesn't seem to want to make it work. He says there is no other woman...I don't want to give up..I can't wait to see my lil son and I hope that will open his eyes..maybe he is scared? He says he isn't..

I just started dating my boyfriend and I found out I am pregnant (12 weeks!) At times I am excited and at time I am totally freaked out... i am having a hard time with my family cause they are soo mad we are not married. I like my boyfriend ALOT i am just not sure I am IN love with him (cause we have only been together for 2 months). I just graduated college andI had all these plans to go to grad school in the UK. Well it seems that now my plans are to move with a man that I am "in like" to another state. He is very mature and ready to have this baby. I love how he has readily changed his life for his child... why am I soo freaked out still?! Please no "you shouldn't have openned your legs comments" that is besides the point.
