Hi, im a mother of 2 and im only 24 i already have a pair, a boy and a gal, i dont want to have anymore babies at the momment but not sure which one is good for birth control

have u heard of Norplant ? wat i know the doctor will insert a small straw through the skin under ur arms but izzit good?

Norplant is no longer used. The best way to go if you don't want anymore is a new type of IUD. It has hormones in it, and lasts for 5 years, so you can always change your mind. My mother was one of the last people to receive Norplant, and then had to find a new alternative. Another option is tubal ligation, but if you ever change your mind, it can be very hard, if not impossible to reverse, and have children naturally again. The best thing to do is to ask your ob/gyn at your next appointment, or set up an appointment just for that purpose. He/She can tell you everything that is available, and the benefits and risks of each.

I thought Norplant was taken off the market.

Be careful if some doctor is telling you to use that.
