i would like to know what other women did or didn't do to get there breast ready for breast feeding & did you take or drink anything to help milk come in. i'm scared that i my not be able to breast feed & it something that i what to do really bad, i wanted to breast feed my frist child but she had a milk allergies so i couldn't , please help (i'm due 8/19/07) so i need info on how to make my breast ready & anything else

My best friends is pregnant and I feel very spiteful towards her. My husband & I tried to get pregnant for a couple of mos., but for medical reasons were not able to. Suddenly at the same time we were trying my friend becomes pregnant (supposedly unplanned on her part but I have my suspicions). I am not upset that she is pregnant & I'm not as I already have 1. But I am upset with her constantly bringing up her pregnancy like it is the best thing that has ever happened in this world. She has no money, but has made comments prior to pregnancy that she has friends & family that "wouldn't let the baby starve or anything". She also first started with "she didn't care if she got hand-me-downs" & now she is looking at $400 cribs & $200 crib beddings & strollers & stuff when there's perfectly good items that cost 1/2 that. What bothers me most is she does nothing (no job), but her friends will go out & buy this stuff because she always comes out "smelling like a rose".

I'm sixteen (turning seventeen this April) and I'm pregnant with twins (a boy and a girl) due June 1, 2007 - that means I'm 24 weeks along, which is 6 months. The father is no longer a part of my life. Abortion was never an option for me - I just couldn't do that. I feel like I would be a good mother but I'm unsure about what would be best for the babies. My parents are willing to stand by my decision no matter what and are willing to help out with finances, child care if I choose to keep the babies, etc...

I really, REALLY want to keep the babies, but I'm not sure what I should do.

I did the "pencil test" (aka the ring test - you know with the string over your belly or wrist) and it came out "girl, boy, girl". It has done that since I was a little kid. I have one child, a boy, but I had a pregnancy before that. I would like to have another one. It would be interesting to see if I had a girl!

For those that have done this "test", how accurate has it been?

My good friend just had her baby last night and I am going to go see her and her new little girl this afternoon. What is something I can bring to her at the hospital, other than flowers since Valentines is tomorrow. What is something I can get for her, not the baby (I already have something for baby)?

i was in labour and they had just told me i had to have emergency c section..then said while i was open they could sterilise me i was only 24 ! im not sure if the NHS have done something very wrong to me..

and I went for my non stress test this week ( my bp was up two weeks ago, but has been good since.) At that time I was having contractions as the nurse stated. Which are more than likely Braxon Hicks... my question is I have continued to feel the "pressure on my bladder" since. When you have continuous braxon hicks does this mean anything? Also-- I go Thursday to get checked... does anyone know the "average" time for birth after so many cms dialated? Thanks so much!!!

yeah so I took birth control pills for like a whopping total of humm 6 days and not 6 days straight i know this is not effective blah blah blah, but i am getting married and we were only taking birth control to better regulate my periods and then were going to stop and start trying to conceive again but i think this month we might have slipped up a bit it isn't a big deal or anything because it would be very much a wanted pregnancy but the sides of my boobs are hurting on and off and also i feel pain underneath my armpits but they are not swollen my cervix has stayed soft and tightly closed for a little over a week with very little change when usually around this time it is a bit harder and what not, I AM ALWAYS NOW TIRED i have been sleeping in until like noon taking naps during the day and still feel wiped out, i can barely eat, a commercial for a restaurant came on and i nearly puked it made me gag, btw i took those 6 bc pill like two to three weeks ago need some input please

I recently received a receipt from the daycare I take my daughter to occassionally, for the total amount I paid last year. (We have a regular sitter, daycare is only a once-in-awhile thing.) Is this something I should take to my accountant when getting my taxes done, or is it worthless? My tax returns have always been pretty clear-cut and simple, so I'm not used to all these extra little things. Any info. is appreciated!

I am very regular with my period, but this time my period started a week before. I was expecting my period on the on the 9th of Feb., but it started on the 1st. I started my period on Thursday the 1st of Feb. in the morning and by Sunday afternoon, the 4rd of Feb., it was finished. I had sex on Monday the 5th of Feb., right after my period. Can I still get pregnant? If so, when can I take a pregnancy test? Lately I have been sleepy and I always have this taste behind my throat. Please help!

are trying to decide on a name. I am not pregnant but we are trying. We have a boy name picked out but the girl is kind of been a challenge. I like Kaitlin and Lanie for first names. He used to like Kaitlin and not Lanie and now it is the other way around because he thought of a middle name he likes. I am afraid it is too masculine, opinions pease! Lanie Kile Pronounced like KYLE I just tried to change the spelling to make it more feminine. I like the way it sounds to I just don't want her too get picked on.

My last period was Jan. 8th, my cycles are normally between 28 and 32 days....i am on day 37 and no sign of period. I have been having wierd "cramp" like feelings in my lower abdomin (and i know its not because of a period because i NEVER get cramps when i have my period), peeing a little more often and if sore breasts consist of being sore on the sides only when you touch them then i have sore breasts, also, i have been taking my temp. which was a steady 98.4 and then a few days ago went up to 98.6 and this morning was 98.8, and might i add that i had the worst mood yesterday. Does this sound like pregnancy? Is it too soon to test? My husband and I are ttc, Thanks in advance.

My son needs some new toys! He is really into finding hidden things, pulling things out of other things, and just about any cause and effect toys. I feel so discouraged buying stuff only to find out he finds it too boring and I can't afford to buy everything just to find out he hates it!

am i crazy to think this is wrong, she is soo into everyone being bf/gf and marriage, I know they show stuff like that with disney charaters and stuff, but anything we watch, or see she's like ohhh there boy friend girlfriend., ohhhh there getting married, when there is no such case. is this normal for her age? even her teacher says she's a little obsessed with who likes who and who likes her. Her birth mom says it's natural and she was like that...but she got pregnate in highschool droped out and slept with the whole town, i dont want that to happen to the little one, so i'm hopeing it is just a phase.

My sitter has a 40 y.o daughter who was in the hospital ICU three hours from where we live. Two weeks ago the sitter went to be with her daughter and gave me no advance notice nor a phone call that she would be unable to watch my kids. Yesterday, I showed up to drop the kids off and she had gone again. after waiting at her house for 30 minuntes her neighbor informed me her daughter was dying and she went to be with her. While I am sad for my sitter, I missed work for 12 hrs last week and now 12 hours this week. This week I am scheduled to work 36 hrs and this is the weekend of her daughters funeral i am sure. Did the sitter have a duty to inform me she could not watch the kids, or provide back up? The sitter has already gotten paid from the state, but not by me, should her co - pay be adjusted on my end seeing since I didn't make the money I can't pay the money. I am a single parent of three, student and work in a major ER and got repremanded for missing work on short notice.
