I did the "pencil test" (aka the ring test - you know with the string over your belly or wrist) and it came out "girl, boy, girl". It has done that since I was a little kid. I have one child, a boy, but I had a pregnancy before that. I would like to have another one. It would be interesting to see if I had a girl!
For those that have done this "test", how accurate has it been?

Thanks for all of your "how stuipd are you" and "get an ultrasound" answers. =) I should have clarified that I was wondering the results FOR FUN and know that the MOST accurate gendering of a baby is WHEN IT IS BORN. Even ultrasounds are known to be incorrect. I just thought it would be fun to see what others "test results" were. That is it. Period. For fun. Not depending on this. Just for fun. Fun.
Oh - and thanks for the sarcasim! I love it! It makes me smile (no sarcasim here - for real!) =)

when i was pregnant i did the 'spoon and fork test' (you blind your eyes and someone places two chairs in font of you and on top of them they put a spoon and in the other one a fork, then you have to choose a chair to sit on without knowing where the fork n spoon are, if you pick the one with the spoon you are gonna have a girl and if you pick the fork you are getting a boy). It did worked for me, picked the spoon, got a girl :)

No, because they could't likely wisely predict sex depending upon urine. this isn't a practicable way of determining the sex of a fetus. they're meant to be relaxing. and performance a 50 % danger of being fantastic. yet, I favor to look ahead to the ultrasound and keep my 30 money or more effective for more effective powerful issues. P.S. i understand they have a money again assure. This is sensible as 50% of the time they're going to be fantastic and in uncomplicated words about 2% of the time is a woman going to urinate on something, positioned it aside till she has a well being care specialist ensure the sex, then deliver it again for money back. Edit- And the chinese gender predictor. truly? properly, it reported my first change right into a woman. He has a penis, so i'm guessing it change into incorrect. also, i'm 32 weeks with a woman that it reported change right into a boy. for sure this stuff are not to any extent further precise. Why might want to they be?

Ive dont the test and it says i shall have 2 boys. Interesting enough i currently have a son. Well have to see what the next one is. My mother did it and it said she was having 2 girls and 2 boys. She has me and my brother and miscarried a boy and still birthed a girl. So i think its kinda accurate if not a source of fun.

I did the test on myself twice. It told me I was having a girl, but the trusty ultrasound said boy. Though those tests are fun to test the results, I wouldn't bank on it.

This sounds like a magical ritual or something. Basicly, it's a 50/50 chance of getting it right...you could just make a random guess and have the same odds of being right or wrong.

If you want to do it for fun go for it, but you don't hear about many dr's doing that when you want to find out do you? It's not accurate, if you really want to know then you'll have to ask at the ultrasound.

Dont bother with it. It's not accurate. If it is right, it's just by chance.
