My husband and I are trying to have a baby. On yesterday I took a hpt. When I read the test it said negative. I always leave the test on the counter to show my husband that i have taken the test. When he seen the test he was screaming. The test read positive. Should I buy another test?

I have always wanted 3 children. My husband just wants children, he isn't picky about the number, "as long as we can afford them".
We recently bought a wonderful house with 3 bedrooms. We are in love with this house and the neighborhood and don't plan on moving any time soon, if at all. My issue is that there are only 2 bedrooms for the kids. If we have 3 kids, two will have to share. With only 2, no one has to share. We don't have a basement or bonus room, so the only place for them to "play" will be their bedroom or the family room. What do you think?
Also, is the cost of raising 3 kids significantly more than 2 kids?

I was holding my daughter's hand and lifted her up by her hand/arm to carry her over a puddle on the street - do you think that would have hurt her arm? I worry that by doing that it would pull her arm out of its socket?

I hope I didn't hurt her.......

Thanks:)

I wouldn’t call myself a "cook" but I pretty much have the basics down. I don’t usually have enough time to really fix my daughter a good home cooked meal. Her meals usually consist of canned or microwave foods. Now I want to get into the habit of making her healthy home cooked meals so she can have good eating habits. Any suggestions on easy but healthy meals that my toddler might enjoy for breakfast and dinner???

At the moment i am pregnant and i was thinking about how do i explain to her what she is. I am black and my boyfriend is black and white. His dad is white and his mom is black. As a child gets older they see the difference and I think that my daughter will come out lookin more like my boyfriend. I am not sure how to explain to her what she is because i don't wanna give her the wrong information

My baby does this other weird thing too where, when she's sleeping, screws up her face and makes this squeaky noise. Everytime she goes this she puts her legs up in the air, too.

My midwife says she's probably just dreaming, but I think she looks like she's in pain.

Is it wind or gripe or something like that ?

She's 2 months old and does this thing where she purses up her mouth - like she's sucking on a bottle - all the time.

She does it even after a feed.

Why ?

She's turning 2 in January and I'm worried how it will affect her jaw and teeth.

I've tried telling her that the dummy fairies want to take it away but she's having none of it !

She only has it at night time, but doesn't like sucking her thumb.

My fiance is trying to become part of his son's life. He's not on the boy's birth certificate, and the mother isn't letting him see his son, so he wants to go to court to establish paternity. He WANTS to pay child support, so she is obligated to give him parenting time. Where should he start? He's willing to pay for the paternity test, but paying for a private lawyer isn't going to be possible. What are the steps involved when a father is the one seeking to establish paternity?

Having recently given birth and think i did well to manage without pain relief, i got to thinking if childbirth hurts the same for us all, or are some women just better at dealing with it than others? your thoughts please.... :-)

I have been trying to conceive for months now. I am 34 years old and my periods have been pretty regular for YEARS. However, for the last several months I have gone from a 28 cycle to a 30-32 day cycle.

Me and my husband have been trying to have a baby for several months now and I JUST KNEW we had done it THIS TIME!

Well, I am now about 7 days late and took a pregnancy test and it came back a great big "NOT PREGNANT" result. :(

For the past week, I have been feeling very tired and a tad bit queazy after I eat. My breast are a tad bit sore and I have some MILD cramping from time to time as if I am fixing to start my period.

Is it possible that I tested too early and I could STILL be pregnant even though the test says I am not?

Anyone had any experiences that ended up being pregnant after being a week late that tested negative?

I have never understood why a mother would not give her baby her milk. We are the only species who refuses it's offspring Mother's milk. I know a lot of women say they "couldn't" breastfed for whatever reason. But being a lactation consultant I know that 99% of these "reasons" are easily correctable. So... I'm just curious to know why women choose not to breast feed their infants... even though they know human breast milk is best for human babies ... ??

Ok. I'm three months pregnant and about two weeks ago the father of my baby set me down and told me that it was the hardest thing he ever had to do but he was ready to be tied down.. and that he had to work on getting a good and stable job and get his thoughts together... He said that he still loved me soo much and he wanted to be with me for the rest of our lifes and take care of the child too but he just wasnt ready to be tied down at the moment. He said that it wasnt me it was him.. It didnt really hit him at first that we were about to have a huge change in our lifes...

I'm really scared cause my sister got pregnant at 16 too and her daughter who is 6 now has grown up without a father.. and i dont want that happening to me... It's really hard when a lil girl walks up to u and ask why u have a dad and she dont... This guy was 17 and wasnt ready for a baby and he told my sister that he didnt want to be a part of her or the babies life.. If you have any advice I'd appreciate it.
