She's 2 months old and does this thing where she purses up her mouth - like she's sucking on a bottle - all the time.

She does it even after a feed.

Why ?

It is normal. Your baby is just learning to work her mouth muscles, and sucking is the one thing that she has done from Birth. There really is no need to worry, babies do all sorts of odd and unusual things in there first year or so.

Its her reflexes, its just another thing that babys do, my cousin has just found out that she can make a noise whilst moving her lips i.e blowing rasberries she is so so cute when she does and she thinks its great fun, i would say enjoy it when she does these kind of little things, have a little giggle about it thats the fun part of having a little by baby.

Don't worry perfectly normal a baby is born with the sucking relex if you put your finger in her mouth or anything it will automatically become a dummy for her to suck on. Thats nothing wait until she gets teeth.

Can't answer the why except to say I was told by a nurse after my second child that, some babies suck like that for comfort, it feels good. don't know if tats your case but i wouldn't stress unless it causes her problems, not wanting to eat and such. Yea its pretty normal. She's a cutie too.

Very normal. It's a reflex, my baby did it all the time, in his sleep, after a feed... no matter when...
It's like, one thing she knows how to do, let her! It isn't hurting anything, it's just a reflex

Its perfectly normal, all babies do it, they are improving their muscles, and all babies pull strange faces and do odd things. Nothing to worry about.
