I was 20 when my first daughter and almost 22 with my second daughter. They are 18 months apart. With the first one, I definitely was ready as she was planned for. The second was a little more of a surprise. Physically we were ready, we already had everything we needed. Emotionally, I wasnt quite ready. I didnt think that I could love anyone else as much as I loved my older child. But now I realize that you dont love the older ones less, its like your heart grows more.

I was 17 when my first daughter was born, 21 for my second daughter and 25 for my son.
If you mean emotionally ready, Maybe not! I found it hard when my friends were going to parties but I soon made friends who also had children so that made it easier.
If you mean ready by having all the stuff, I reckon I could have brought 3-4 babies home from hospital and still had enough, being 17 I was well aware people were going to be quick to judge so I think I over brought!

I'm currently pregnant and I'm 21 (got pregnant at 20) and my fiance is 23 (22 when I got pregnant). We were talking about having a baby before I got pregnant, but weren't completely ready. We couldn't be more excited now though, and are very happy!

19 with 1st
23 with 2nd
29 with 3rd
The first time I thought I was ready then realized that things were not that simple, the second time I was more emotionally prepared for what was to come, this time I have accepted that no matter how prepared I think I am, there is always something else. With age I have learned that I do not know as much as I should.

I was 20 when PG and delived after I turned 21. I changed in those 9 months so that I could accept the responbility of being a parent-alone. I have met a lot of parents older and younger then I that never ever should have kids. Its not all about the age but your frame of mind and how your parents raised you.

I was 20 not expecting it. It was the best thing that happened though because I was partying hard before and flunking out of college. It made me grow up and take some responsiblity. He is now 11.
