This is our second child, our first was a boy. He had so many names we liked Dawson, Cameron, Quinton and we decided to go with traditional Joshua Roger, my husband and my father. That seemed so easy! But now we are expecting a girl (by four ultrasounds!) and we are so clueless...Especially because we can't use the tradition that we did with our son. Our female family members are not exactly full of cute names. EX: Penny, L'vonne and Eileen, so we sat down and searched the internet one night. The name Kelsey came about and we love it, we are pretty definite on it...But what about a middle name? Can you guys help? Like I said we are pretty traditional, not into all that Rainbow and Suri like the celebrities, haha

I was thinking about getting an IUD...And I would just like to hear your stories about your expirience with it. Did it hurt getting it? Did it have any effects on you? Overall, how did it compare with your other birth controls that you've tried? Would you recommend it? Please dont tell me to ask my doctor becuase he is a man and has never had it obviously...I just want real stories from women who have had it. Thanks in advance!!!

i've had 2 c-sections and scheduled for another on 10-13 and in 9-05 i also had a 5 pound cyst and ovary removed thru c-sec scar,i am now 34 1/2 weeks along and my contractions were stopped at 31 weeks i still have several contractions daily though, and i've been having lots of pain for the last 3 days but dr. wont check for dilation just says that its probably ligament pain and that it hurts so bad because of so much uterine trauma..here is a list of the kind of pain that i am having if anyone can tell me anything it would be great... i have horrible pressure in hips and lower stomache (different than before), a severe stabbing pulling pain in my cervix that comes and goes but gets worse when i try to walk, a heavy feeling in my butt and lower belly when i sit, pain in my back and it feels like the baby's trying to bust out when i pee ... and if thats not enough i got up today feeling sick and running to the bathroom (the gross kind), but i cant stop eating ...please help

And I mean one that goes on, not a quick one.

My daughter has a Sleeping Beauty alarm clock that plays the theme from the film sooooo loud that the bottom vibrates.

The other toy she has that annoys me is an iron with the same problem, music too loud and constant!

Kids are adorable and beautiful and sometimes can be a pain. I know I have a few years yet to decide, but can people please seriously tell me this: how do you know if you don't want to have kids? Sometimes they can drive you crazy, sure, but honestly? I don't care, because it's one of my dreams. But yesterday I saw some Asian women with their two small children each on the bus. They were yelling at each other and seemingly not being very loving mothers. I saw that and I almost felt in pain. But the girls were so cute.......how do I know if I don't want children? I do, but I'm still not sure and right now a little confused. Please help???????

I posted this question last night and thought maybe I’d get some other ideas today. I would first like to say I love my husband a lot--but our parenting styles just don't click. We had talked about this before I got pregnant and argued a little but not as much. It almost seems like everything I'm for--he is against. Everything he's for--I'm against. I want to come to a compromise but we are both stubborn. For example, I don't believe in spanking ALL the time--I think it should be used as a last resort. My husband on the other hand thinks in any situation it is alright to spank. I think our sons and daughters should be treated equally--he thinks daughters should have a earlier curfew. I believe in schedule and routine--at every turn--he is trying to brake my schedule or routine. He scares my son--on purpose--just to see him cry (it's cute--he doesn't do this too often.) Here's another example of what we argue about--any child gets distracted easily. Feeding a baby isn't fun--maybe sometimes but not all the time--my husband will sit there and distract him--which makes me have to feed him for a half an hour instead of a quarter. It’s not that I mind feeding him for longer, it just that it’s unnecessary. It’s like anytime I try and set a rule--I will add we’ve agreed on he’ll try to break it. He doesn’t understand that we are parents. I am not the only parent--he is no longer a child. We have to work as a team. My main concern is if my husband won’t respect me, how will my son know to? Kids learn from example and my husband doesn’t seem to lead a good one. Yes, he is funny. Yes, he entertains. No, he doesn’t help me. No, he doesn’t help enforce rules. I’m torn and I just don’t know what to do. Please don’t say--that’s all men. It’s not all men, I believe he can be different. I’ve tried talking with him several times about it. He either agrees and then doesn’t follow through or he says that I am too picky and thinks he does everything wrong. I don’t know how to get through to him. Please help!

I just had the D & C procedure and for those of you who know it, know you cannot have sex for one to two weeks afterwards or until you see your doctor. So my husband and I have been experimenting with different ways of fulfilling sex. We have been having anal sex and one time I felt alittle cramp and I just want to know will the penis affect a sensitive cervix area at all? I am clueless as to how close everything is to each other.

I went in for my 6 week postpartum checkup yesterday. I still have been bleeding and my doctor knows that now. He also knows that I've been having dizzy spells and back pain. All he did was check my uterus and look at my back, and he did a urine test to make sure I don't have a bladder infection. I feel he didn't really address my dizziness problem. And all he said about my bleeding and back pain, was that I need to start exercising and that my uterus was back to normal so it should be fine. I thought exercising would make my bleeding worse, but he said no that it could even make it go away. Does any of this sound right? Should he have had my blood checked to see if my iron was low? Maybe he just overlooked the dizziness and forgot I had mentioned it? I don't want to just write him off as a bad doctor, even though I feel he hasn't been completely attentive or thorough lately. Should I go back and ask for a blood draw?

I stopped bleeding from having the baby over a week ago. My husband and I had sex (like two idiots) and I havent started to bleed again and I was wondering if I could already be pregnant and so soon and if so can I carry the baby since the c-section was done in August of this year or if this is immpossible. And would a pregnancy test come back positive from another pregnancy or from the hormones from the previous one? Or am I just paranoid or should my period start soon? Would I have to terminate the pregnancy?

first of all, i am 29, he is 33. we are financially ready but DO need a bigger house and hope to move by summer. we have 2 children -8 &10 yrs old. they arent biologically his sons but he is their only dad.so hes never had a child of his own. he keeps changing his mind about when to start trying. he'll bring it up one day and say "i want you to stop your birth control pills at the end of this pack" then change his mind the next day. hes done this several times and he knows how much im ready NOW. it breaks my heart. i get so excited only to be let down. we've talked about it and he knows how i feel, but says hes scared that we either wont have enough money or a big enough house or that something is going to happen to me in birth, theres always something. i keep reminding him that even if we conceived right away, we still have 9 mos. until the baby comes. i dont know if i should just give up or hold him to his word? i feel like i am obsessing about this and i dont want to do that!

I do not know if I am posting this question in the right place but here it goes.
I don't own a cat but in recent days a kitten about two months old, has made his home in my back yard and I've found him a couple of times inside my house much to curious about my sleeping baby. I've tried everything to chase it away since I can never get close enough to actually grab it and take it to a shelter. I was wondering in what way can this cat actually hurt my baby besides the biting and scratching. If you have any infomation at all or sugestions please help.

I'm a single mum to a lovely 2 year old girl! I'm 23 years old and am still living at home with my parents! Im sleeping on the sofa whilst my little girl is in her own bed next to me! We dont even have our own bedrooms! I have been on the Housing List for 3 years now,and when I complained nothing was being done,I was told people out there are worse off than me and that I should expect a possible further 3 years to get my own home!! Ive been suffering from depression since my daughter was born and have Gall Stones which makes it very difficult and uncomfortable sleeping on a sofa! There are seven of us living in this 3 bedroom house yet nothing can be done for me and my daughter! Id like to hear any views/advice on my matter..

I'm looking for a reputable baby modeling scou/talent agency. I'm not looking for a modeling agency that charges you money but rather a talent/scouting agency that pays you if your baby's work.
I live in New York and am looking for recommendations for this area.

Thanks!

Hi,
My partner and I ended our relationship. we have a son that's 1 yr. I am trying to set up a schedule so we all know what days he's going to be staying with his father and what days he's going to be spending with me. His father adores our son and everything, but he's reluctant to set up a schedule. he says he prefers to just pick him up whenever he can, and he'll let me know a day in advance. i think is ridiculous. he is taking care of his milk and diapers and his necessecities. but this is the only thing we can' tagree on!! what should i do?

I have a friend who donated sperm in 2000 and is keen to know if any children were born of his donation. The clinic he donated to will not divulge the information as the donation was made prior to the change in law of April this year. He was under the impression that he would be able to find out at some point if any children were born. Can the HFEA provide this information?

Sorry if this is the wrong category. Anyway, this is quite a personal question to mothers, mainly new ones...

Is anyone finding it really difficult to regain their sex life? I had my child over a year ago, and i am still totally revolted by even the thought of it!! I had PND and a horrible and long birth (ended in emergency C), so i think that will have something to do with it.

Does anyone have any odeas on how to get it back. Me and my husband have tried everything!! :(

Thanks for reading xx
