I stopped bleeding from having the baby over a week ago. My husband and I had sex (like two idiots) and I havent started to bleed again and I was wondering if I could already be pregnant and so soon and if so can I carry the baby since the c-section was done in August of this year or if this is immpossible. And would a pregnancy test come back positive from another pregnancy or from the hormones from the previous one? Or am I just paranoid or should my period start soon? Would I have to terminate the pregnancy?

ok here goes. The bleeding is normal. I stopped bleeding after my c-section within days. As for your 1st period after a c-section, it could take up to 8 weeks to start again. But... I was in the same situation as you. I had sex very quickly after the pain had stopped. And vwola! I was pregnant. My boys are like 11 months apart. You can carry a baby this quickly after a cesarion section. Although it is not recomended. Once you give birth a pregnancy test will not come back pregnant unless in fact you are pregnant. You don't have to terminate the pregnancy. As long as you take care of yourself and the new baby everything should turn out fine, as mine did. So my guess is if you haven't started your period take a test, if it's negative i would wait a couple weeks. As it i said it could take up to 8 weeks for you to get your period again. Good Luck sweety!

This can be normal, don't panic! After pregnancy your body and hormones are trying to get back to "normal" so yes it is normal to have irregular periods. Are you breast feeding? If so you can go the whole time with NO period!! NOTE: Even then you can still get pregnant (Know that with experience. ;-) ...LOL)
You can still get pregnant that soon after delivery. As far as a pregnancy test I would say to get one done by blood work. They are better at detecting pregnancy!
IF you are pregnant carrying it is still possible, even with a c-section, you Dr. can give you all the info. on that if you are!
Hope this has helped and congrads. on the new baby!!! Good Luck and Have a Great Day!

It has been 36 years since I was last pregnant, so not even sure if you could even be pregnant at this point, but I would say if you are, the pregnancy would be very dangerous for you because your body needs time to heal before you get pregnant again. I would think you should wait at least a year before even thinking about another pregnancy. Best of luck to you.

hun, you can get pg at anytime after giving birth. Women get their period after pregnancies differently, so my best advice is that you give your OB a call, he is the only one that can give you real answersand guide you trhough this so you don't go nuts. Good luck
