She is on rice cereal more than a month and she hates it. I tried giving her cereal mixing with banana. She hates it.

He wakes up at 8 in the morning and doesn't go to sleep until 11 in the night then wakes up at around 3 in the monring to eat then wakes up at 8 and stays up alllll day!!!!

People in your family, for instance my mum has on average 9 - 10lb babies ( including myself ) and she was 9lb.. Some people have told me babies weight the same most of the time?? Is this true???

My 15 month old son and myself both got our flu shots on Thursday. Saturday my son got a temperature of 103...Gave him tylenol but have been battling the temperature ever since. It's now Monday early morning (1am) and his temperature is 102. I've called the ER and talked to a triage nurse 4 different times. They keep telling me I don't have to bring him in. What am I supposed to do? He's miserable and I'm worried!!!

I got sick on Saturday morning. I was throwing up and felt really horrible. My injection site is bruised and had a big red hard bump on it (my sons site looks fine). The red bump has almost gone away but again I called the ER and they told me not to come in.

The nurses tell me it's a "coincedence" and not because of the flu shot!!

We use cloth wipes -- facecloths.

We WERE running hot water every time we changed a diaper. Not ideal.

Things are slightly improved thanks to my brilliant idea of keeping wet washcloths in a mini crock-pot on the lowest setting.

We are totally cooking the cotton, though; even 'keep warm' = HOT.

What are those commercial wipe warmers like? Could I just toss in a bunch of wet facecloths?

Is there a better option out there that I'm not thinking of?

My little one is only a few days old and has a diaper rash from constant urinating and pooping to get rid of jaundice, I am changing her at least once an hour and bathing her bottom in warm water. Is there a good home remedy out there that will help quick?

I am thinking of buying one for my newborn. The one that looks best is the "close baby carrier".

Anybody out there used/using one? If so I just have a couple of questions:

1) Does it give adequate support to a newborn's head?
2) Does it make your back uncomfortable. I have a muscular strain at my lower back and am a little worried about wearing a sling.

Unfortunately I havent got much choice - I have a toddler as well and need some way to transport the two of them around. It is easier for the toddler to go in the buggy (cos she is not much of a walker) and for me to carry the newborn around.

Every Christmas we get a live tree, but this year is especially wonderful, because we will have a 9 month old little boy to help us celebrate! We were curious if we could still have a live tree? Do babies have any special allergy requirements for live trees? ( you know...no milk before a year, no honey before a year, no citrus...etc.) Thanks so much for you info!

I'm exclusively pumping for my 5 week old due to us both having thrush that won't go away and it being too painful to actually nurse. I've been pumping for just over a week. Now one of my nipples is bloody. It doesn't hurt extremely bad, but the sight of pumping and seeing the wound open and close makes me sick to my stomach. How do you heal a nipple wound?

Next, the same breast with the nipple problem is only making 2oz every 3-4 hours while the other makes a little over 4oz. Is this normal? I'd like to be able to pump less often...any advice on how to accomplish that?

I am buying a crib bedding set for my daughter soon. She is 4 1/2 months old. Would you recommend a mobile or not? Does the baby even use it? I am not sure if I want to get one or not, not knowing if babies even use them.

Yesterday me and my partner were mowing our front lawn and we had our 8 month old out with us, my partners parents and 2 sisters live across the street, so his little sis who is 13 came over and was playing with our daughter. Then when i turned around they were gone. The 13 yr old h ad taken my daughter across the street to her house. Without saying anything or even asking if it was ok. I then complained to my partner. He went across the street to get something from his dad and said NICELY to his lil sister to bring the baby back home. She did after 2 mins. Then a little later she went to do i t again when my partners mum was there but my partner stopped her and said leave the baby here while u go. So she did and no one said a word. Then this morning my parnter gets a message from his mum telling him to call her cos she need to talk to him. When he did she wanted to know if he had a problem with his sister holding the baby and why he didnt want her taking her anywhere? would it annoy u

i just started feeding my son some semi solids he is 12weeks old what i give him is a spoon of porrige with his 8onz bottle of gold sma milk he gets 8onz bottle every 4hrs then around 5ish i have started to introduce baby food only a small portion would u say this is too much or its okay?
he sleeps from 9pm -10pm till 6-8am

I am 28 weeks and I want to start buying everything I am going to need. I was looking online and saw disposable changing pads to travel with for a clean diaper changing. Are they necessary or do you use something else? Are they washable?

My daughter is 4 1/2 months old. I fed her around midnight last night and she ate perfectly fine. She didn't have a fever or anything. I woke up around 7 today and when I changed her I noticed she was very hot so I took her temp and it was 102.3. I called the Dr because I thought it was pretty high. Well, I tried feeding her and she refused to eat. She has drank about 2 oz so far today and it is 10:45. He said if it got worse he would see her today. So if her temp doesn't go down by 11:30 I will call again. But I am just curious if anyone has experienced this before. Has anyone ever experienced a high temp, non vomiting, non eating, cranky baby before? If you have what was wrong? I know she is teething but I don't think her temp would be this high.

I've nursed my baby until a few days ago he stopped wanting to nurse. He'll scream and turn his head. However, if I pump and put it in a cup, he'll sip a little. He won't take formula at all. He's always hated it and he's never taken a bottle.
He doesn't act sick. He's eating everything else fine. He downs oatmeal, veggies, fruits, He just seems like he's not interested in nursing anymore. I'm worried he's still not getting enough of the good stuff (breastmilk). How much does he actually need to be healthy? If I pumped once a day (like 4 ounces) would that be enough if he's eating other foods, and if he gets thirsty, just give him water and juice? Please help. thanks

my girlfreind and i just had a beautifull baby boy 2 months ago, and i think she is starting to suffer from post pardem depression, she has had appointments with therapists but she keeps canceling, how can i help her without hurting her, its a little frustrating and its almost to the point to where its bringing me down. Im a patient person who offers nothing but support but she dosent seem care what i think.

I've just recently been to a sit in on a breast feeding class and I found it very useful because there are so many things I didn't know about the advantages of breast feeding my baby.
The teacher of the class told me that you shouldn't give your baby a dummy while breast feeding because as the baby is supposed to have his/her mouth wide open to suck the milk from the areola (not the nipple) and to suck on the teet of a dummy his/her mouth only needs to be open just slightly...by giving him a dummy this will confuse him which way he should be sucking and how much his mouth should be open.
Can anyone tell me how long you should wait before you give your baby a dummy?
